One of two special lots produced for Upton Tea Imports for the early 2012 first flush season, this tea has a light liquor with delicate floral notes in the aroma and flavor. The sweet finish has a delicate fruity nuance. Due to extremely dry conditions in Darjeeling at the time of production, the entire lot was a mere 9.5kg.

Today this strikes me as being kind of nutty and rich with light muscatel notes, I cannot believe the natural sweetness in the finish of this tea, it’s incredible and I am sooo happy. I bumped the rating up a couple of points.

Goomtee had an excellent second flush last year and I hope they can match it this time. Still, I’ve stockpiled a lot of FFs so they should last me a while.
I don’t know if I will sample any second flush teas, I am swimming in FF’S!!!!
