When I stopped drinking coffee my husband was heart broken because he had no idea what to get me when he went on a “timmy’s run”. I told him a XL Steep Tea would be just fine.

I have to say, I was rather disappointed the first time. Back when I first tried it I was a black tea drinker for all teas. This tea is not one I would ever suggest drinking black. It was way to bitter.

The second time around I asked for 2 milk and 2 sugar, this result was much better and has remained the way I drink it.

All in all the hype they made on TV was sadly over rated. Its an okay tea but its nothing special.

I have to upgrade my rating a bit. I’ve come to enjoy this tea with 1 milk, 1 sugar when I’m on the road or otherwise unable to make tea at home. My big issue now is there is a lot of variation between locations but then that’s not really the tea’s fault.

its like they used 2 bags for this tea. xl, 2 sugars. ill probably try the peppermint next time. ill drink the rest of this, but wont get it again.

edit: by the time i finished this i had bumped my rating down further, but based on other notes i might try this again with milk or ceam.

4/29/17 got this double double, and its way better though getting it with cream is a bit much for me, going to try 2 milk, 2 sugars next time, and i think ill like it better still. this is something i could drink once in a while on the fly. bumped my rating up a little.

That’s actually what they do (2 bags per pot). Timmies also “steeps” their Steeped Tea like coffee with a drip, resulting in a particularly bitter and concentrated brew. I need milk or cream to drink it too.

yeah its definitely the strength and bitterness that turned me off with this, but i feel like after i try it as a double double my rating might go up a bit.

Not a bad tea for the price. Love that you don’t need to worry about taking the tea bag out.. unlike most places. (Cough.. starbucks). Overall good black tea.

Had to mark a bunch of exams today so the prof. bought tea to help the marking along. Can’t complain, cause I really needed the caffeine. This was better than last time (i.e. I drank it). Still ending up dumping the dregs cause it just wasn’t worth it at a certain point (especially as I was full from all the pizza, etc. we had to eat). Boosting the rating…slightly.

This is my go-to tea if I’m on the go and need a quick fix. I find the steeped tea at Tim Horton’s such a refreshing change from their coffee. I always drink this tea with two milk and one sugar. I’m not sure why but drinking this in the autumn and winter makes it taste so much better.

We stopped at Tim Hortons after a cleaning spree at our old apartment and I grabbed a whole pile of food (it’s not lunch without half a dozen doughnuts, right?) and got this as part of a combo.

I got a medium with two milk, two sugar, and it was delicious, in that heavily doctored black-tea-that-tastes-like-black-tea way. Nothing special but tasty and easy to drink down fast.

Flavors: Tea

leaf in hot water

good ol’ tims donuts!

It may sound silly, but this is definitely one of my favourite teas. I’ve just never had a bad cup when ordering, and I treat myself often. We joke that it’s just “a cup of love.” My order is 1 cream, 1 milk, and 1 sugar.

I picked this up at the Tim Hortons on campus because I needed something to keep me going in between classes.

Given that this is a company that specializes in coffee I don’t exactly expect gourmet, tea-house quality from them, and that’s perfectly okay. It’s a pretty unremarkable tea, a little on the weak side, but at least it avoids the bitterness that many low-quality blacks carry. It’s also one of the few teas I add sugar to, mostly to make it more interesting and to give me an energy rush.

All in all it’s a pretty mild, inoffensive tea.
