From The Tea Girl

A black tea blend of Ceylon and Kenyan teas blended with fine cut coconut flakes. The flavours are a blend of fresh coconut and sweet vanilla to create a rich creamy tropical tea.

Blenders Notes: This tea has been a tea girl fan favourite for many years. It can be brewed up either as a tea, a latte or in an amazing iced tea. Coconuts are also in season year round, although we particularly enjoy this tropic flavour during the hot summer months. This tea was one of the first flavours we created in store because of its strong demand. Now you can try it your favourite way!

I’m conflicted about this tea! I enjoyed it so much at first. It is warm and has a nice coconut flavour. The coconut oil that happens when the little flakes are steeped means that the tea becomes sort of buttery and creamy in a very palatable way. But then, as it cools, the coconut oil becomes…very oily, and then it sucks. So I would love this tea and then be totally sick of it for a long time, there was no in between, really.

Sipdown (214)

We had family visiting today and they asked for either a vanilla or coconut tea. Weirdly enough I didn’t have a lot of plain vanilla or plain coconut teas but I did have this. I was able to divide this sample from Sil into 2 servings so I could share.

While Sil didn’t really love The Tea Girl’s coconut flavouring, I enjoy it. It’s not as good as her vanilla flavour but this is a simple and clean vanilla flavour that pairs nicely with the smooth black base. Thank you for sharing, Sil!

Another sample from the Tea Girl. Didn’t really like this one. I’m picky about my coconut and this blend has the type i’m not a fan of. Also, not sure about the base teas. So overall a miss for me. Happy drinking variaTEA lol
