Tasting Notes

Description

Produced in the early 1970’s by the Guang Dong Tea Factory for export purposes, this sheng tuocha is composed entirely from buds. It is generally thought that Yunnan maocha was used for these, the first production of these export tuochas.
The brewed liquid is very dark and rich in appearance. To drink, it is very smooth and fine with a deep aged flavour. Compared to the Guang Yun Gong cakes of the 60’s and 70’s, it is more smooth to drink, the flavour is deeper and not so woody.
The tea really begins to open up after 4-5 brewings.
