From The Essence of Tea

The counterpart to the 2007 Menghai “Wei Zong Wei”, this bing is composed of leaves from Old Growth trees from Yiwu mountain. It is a careful blend of 2006 Autumn leaves and 2007 Spring leaves from a single area, producing a well rounded tea with a feeling of quality to the brew.

As ever with the 12 Gentlemen productions there has been meticulous attention to detail at every stage producing a very high quality young puerh which is designed with slow and graceful ageing in mind.

This is also an excellent ‘drink-now’ puerh, with a caramel like soup, long lasting huigan (sweet aftertaste) coating the mouth and throat, and a full, rounded flavour.

This bing is tightly pressed, and use of a tuocha pick is highly recommended to separate this for brewing. If you need one, let me know & I’ll give you one with your bing.
