From Teavivre

Origin: Fuding City, Fujian Province, China

Ingredients: Evenly and tightly rolled tea leaves

Taste: sweet-sour strawberry fragrance, with Oolong tea’s mellow flavor

Talking about the making of this Strawberry Oolong Tea, the natural extractives from strawberry are added after the Oolong tea is made, in order to keep the original flavor of Oolong tea, and ensure that both the strawberry fragrance and Oolong tea’s unique flavor can be tasted. The Oolong tea leaves of this tea is picked and produced in traditional methods. After the Oolong tea leaves are shaped, the strawberry extractives are then added.

I love fruity oolongs, but I am quite particular about how they should taste. I want the fruit to be present, but to blend nicely with the oolong base. The dry leaf smells like a tasty oolong and strawberry jam. Yum! I think that this tea has great potential just based on the scent! Once water has been added, the strawberry scent is toned down a bit and the oolong becomes a little stronger.

Sipping… the first part of the sip is plainly strawberry. It’s a bit like taking a bite into a fresh strawberry! It does lack the tartness that strawberries often have, but it still manages to perfectly capture a strawberry! Lovely! The flavor changes into something more floral and almost buttery. I am so pleased with the combination of strawberry and oolong. The flavors of this tea are delicate and strong all at once. It’s so well done that I know I must add this to my next order.

Many thanks to Teavivre for a sample of this delicious tea!

Thank you to Angel and Teavivre for this sample!

Typically, I have to be in the mood for oolong. I’m not very familiar with them, and I’ve tasted a few I wasn’t very fond of. This is my new favorite oolong! The mild, sweet oolong flavor is definitely the perfect base for the soft and creamy strawberry flavor. It’s not too green tasting (eventually I’ll adopt the term “vegetal,” but I’m still a newb), and I think that’s what put me off with some of the other oolongs I’ve tried. I like that this tea is in the middle of straight tea and frou-frou flavored tea.

Awesome. That’s exactly what I thought – in the middle, not a straight tea, but not an in your face flavored tea. Unlike you – that bothered me. I would prefer one or the other – I felt like it couldn’t commit to being a flavored tea. Love how we all interpret these experiences differently. :))

I ordered some of the sample sachets of this with my BF Teavivre order. On the package, they recommend boiling water, but I used 195. The oolong is almost creamy in a way and the strawberry flavor is light and pleasant. I probably could have done without it, but I added a bit of sweetener. Currently going on my 2nd steep.

I love strawberry so I really wanted to try this. I got a huge bag, because it was that or just a sample size and I was assuming I was going to like this based on the reviews. I find strawberry is a hard flavour to capture, especially if you want it to be natural. Most strawberry teas are a disappointment because either they don’t taste like strawberry or they taste artificial. I just received my order in the mail today and really wanted to try this so I just made a tiny cup. Unfortunately, I forgot about it steeping so it was quite bitter, but I could taste a lovely oolong base with a faint strawberry flavour. Too faint to say if it was natural tasting or not, but I’m hoping the next time I make this it will be easier to detect without the bitterness

Thanks Angel of Teavivre for my strawberry oolong sample. On opening the sample package there is a nice strawberry scent accenting the oolong. I steeped in hot water watch the leaves unfurl a nice strawberry with hint of green rises from tea together with oolong scent.I added a teaspoon and end up with a honey tone tea taste of nice strawberry and nice oolong together in balance. This is just the second oolong I ever tasted but I like oolong has a warming quality to it. As I write this note I am re-steeping the leaves is lots of them looking forward to a second cup. Glad I got this sample. Hope teavivre adds more fruity oolongs in the future.

I received this as a free sample from Teavivre and have to say I am very impressed with their business ethics. They are very helpful and stayed in contact with me until my free samples arrived. The E-Mails sent were real and not automated which is very important to me. My next purchases I make will defiantly be from them.

Now for my review of the tea itself. Upon opening the tea it smelled GREAT and I was very excited to try it. 1st steep was for 2 and was 5 minutes in an Adagio Teas 32-Ounce Iced Ingenuitea Teapot and there was absolutely no taste what so ever and my daughter agreed. 2nd steep was for 10 minutes, thats right, 10 minutes. It was much better and somewhat enjoyable. The strawberry was subtle and not generic in taste. Though I do not think I would purchase this tea, I am enjoying the free sample. I have one more sample of the tea left and I will give it another chance. As of right now I think about 60 is where I stand on this one. I will update my review if that changes with the other sample.

Firstly, i’m glad you are impressed with our services, we will continue provide good service all the time.

I’m sorry our Strawberry Oolong Tea is not your favorite flavor, i think 32-Ounce is too much, it might caused this tea no taste. You can try less water to brew to in the next time, maybe it will bring you a surprise.

This is one that I have been excited to try. The smell of the leaves is of beautiful fresh strawberry. They produce a gold liquid that has much the same wonderful smell with more strawberry than oolong.

The taste is an amazing mix of sweet vegetal oolong and strawberry. The oolong is strong enough to add to the mixture without overpowering it while still showing that it is a tea with a great taste by itself. It reminds me of strawberry Hi-Chew candy, delicious.

i steeped for 3 minutes which gave it a very light amber color. the leaves were able to unfurl all the way to release the full flavor of the oolong.

the strawberry flavor is from strawberry extract and i think because of this the flavor is very light, secondary, and not overwhelming. the tea has a faint strawberry fragrance also.

overall, i like it. its nice if youre in the mood for a flavored tea that isnt strong.

Delicious! When I finish the rest of my samples, I’m buying this one.

It was a soft, gentle tea with little wafts of strawberry. Through the day I’d take a sip and get a little smile. Strawberries do that to me. Lovely.
