My coworkers gave me a gift certificate to Teavana for my birthday! This was one of my choices when I spent it (online, of course ;).

I like it. It’s nutty and chocolatey and roasty. Honestly, not coffee like or tea like in my opinion. Sweet treat like, maybe nutty hot chocolate like?!

I think I have to play around with the amount and time a little to my taste. It can definitely go more than 5 minutes, and I used 1.5 teaspoons in my 10oz brew mug, but I could have used two easily.

I am curious if this will grow on me if I make it stronger. I think it has potential.

Do you like chocolatey teas? I have a very large collection of Teavana teas and one tea I got by accident ( I sent my mom to Teavana and they convinced my mom into buying?!…I normally don’t like chocolatey teas) was “Slimful Chocolate Decadence” (Oolong) which is actually very good!! If you need any other teavana recommendations…Just ask ;)

JacquelineM

I do like chocolatey teas! I’ll have to try that one – I like that it’s an oolong!

ashmanra

Doesn’t that one have some puerh in the base? I bet that would be so good with chocolate!

gmathis

Cool coworkers! Mine just think my tea thing is weird.

This sample came to me from Tea Equals Bliss – thanks so much for letting me try it.

I was definitely feeling like I needed something to wake me up this morning. I would say this tisane is lightly nutty and chocolatey but the flavor seems a bit thin to me somehow. I used the entire sample which must have been at least 1 tsb. in a 16 oz. teapot. This was a little bit better after I added some soymilk and sugar to it. It smells a lot better than it tastes. It needs something, I am not sure what.

I’m not overly impressed by this, it’s okay but not something I feel the need to buy. Thank you for the sample, Tea=B

I’ve always mixed it with Teavana’s Aztec Fire…a chocolate type tea.

Nope. This sucks. I love coffee, chocolate, and all the stuff that this claims to taste like. I keep thinking that the more I try it, the more I’ll like it. Not whatsoever. Almost every time I try it, it makes me a bit sick to my stomach.
After saying all of this, I’m sure everyone is wanting to try. Even though that is completely unlikely, I’m willing to send the rest of this to someone else. Who knows, maybe you’ll love it. Let me know.

As for me, I will not be buying this again.

Wow. That one is one of my favorite morning teas! I hate coffee, though, and it doesn’t taste at all like coffee to me. I can see where it is not a good substitute for coffee.

I know I have had this one before but apparently I never logged it or Steepster ate my note – so – before passing this along in the box – I will give it an official review.

It smells like Coffee, Nuts, Chocolate, and Mate. It does taste more chocolate-E/Cocoa-Y than I remember it. It has a nice roasted hazelnut flavor, too! It’s robust yet fairly hazelnut-creamy-esque.

I’m liking this better than I remember, actually!

Very smooth and mellow. I missed the nutty flavors in this one. I picked up the chocolate though.
Not my cup of tea. It’s just too mellow.

I don’t drink coffee but this is what I remember coffee tasting like, only a little better. I had it with a little milk and sugar.

I don’t hate it though I don’t think I would drink it again. I’m glad I got to try it as I was curious about this tea.

This is my morning wake-up, with a generous spoonful of sugar and milk or cream. It’s indulgent and soothing similar to that first cup of coffee in the morning, with a comparable buzz.

Predominant flavor is chocolate, but the other flavors blend together nicely. At the store they recommend mixing it with a rooibos chai, which I will agree is a delicious pairing, especially if you’re drinking it later in the day and want to cut the caffeine.

Hands down one of my all time faves. I discovered it on my maiden voyage to Teavana in Chicago about 6 years ago. I’m in Canada and there’s no Teavana here (yet!) so the last time I went to Buffalo, NY I stocked up. Just finished the last of it the other day. Sniff. Thankfully I’m focusing on caffeine-free now, which this is not. But I will always consider it my first love. And if anyone knows of a good alternative to this tea at either Teaopia, David’s or any other Canadian chains PLEASE let me know!!

This is a very smooth tea. I expected more of a coffee taste to from the description on their website. I really hoped for more of a vanilla taste as well. Over all I think if you wanted to wake up to some thing easy on palette this tea would do just that for you.

Decent. Honestly, not that memorable. Probably wouldn’t purchase again, but I’m not tossing it.
