From Six Famous Tea Mountains ( Tuocha Tea)

Fengqing county is one of major tea production areas in China, it is listed as one of the state-level production bases of high quality tea for export. This ripe Pu-erh cake was released in 2008, composed of ecxellent tea leaves from 6FTM’s organic tea plantation in Fengqing, it with a bright red-gold color, very smooth and full in the mouth. The tea was certified organic by Organic Food Development and Certification Center, SEPA of China. Perfectly drinkable now but great potential after a few years of aging.

This is one of the more expensive ripes sold by Tuocha Tea. It is good but not quite spectacular. It started out a bit bitter with a fair amount of fermentation taste to it. I didn’t find the fermentation taste unpleasant or fishy. It developed a nice sweet note in the end.

I steeped this tea ten times in a 160ml solid silver teapot with 14.1g leaf and boiling water. I gave it a 10 second rinse. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 25 sec, 30 sec, 45 sec, and 1 minute.
