I am having tea fail with this tea. My first steep was so light to be almost untaste-able, and the other I over-reacted and oversteeped the other direction so the jasmine is trying to kill me.

It’s all my fault, I didn’t steep correctly. And it was a sample size – so I’ll have to go get more to try it again. SIGH.

I bought a new cast iron tetsubin yesterday, so I thought I would chrsten it with a traditional asian tea. This is a lovely one. It has a nice aroma but not overwhelming and a light floral and almost buttery flavor.

Both of Shang’s jasmine white teas are exquisite and intoxicating. My wife is not a real tea drinker but Shang’s jasmine whites are the only ones she ever requests. Also maintains that they make her feel generally better. i myself prefer unscented white peony, I concede that this jasmine white is lovely.
