I was afraid to try this hot, so i opted for a cold brew on this one instead because of the scent. It turns out, cold brew was not the way to go on this one. It was bitter and perfumey and citrusy. I had a couple sips and then had to say no. Into the share pile it goes as I’m fairly confident that even hot i won’t enjoy this much. Thanks to Ysaurella though for the chance to try a new tea! :)

Ysaurella

sorry you didn’t like it – I never tried it cold but hot it’s a nice tea for real green tea lovers I think (it is not my case neither, I do prefer black teas, from far). This is one of the green best sellers of Mariage Frères and really appreciated as it is one of the most sold in Mariage’s shops

Sil

I’m not sorry I didn’t enjoy it. Now there is more to share with friends! And I AM so very glad to try it no matter what. I love the experience of trying new teas :)

Sipdown !
Definitively not a tea for me but I know it is BECAUSE I am not very green tea.
However it may come from the tea base too.
I know this tea is a best seller of the Brand and people who loves greens really enjoy it.
The citrus flavours are really uncommon and unique, really nice.

I won’t rebuy it but I can understand why it is one of my best friends preferred teas.

Brewed in a big teapot.
Well I’m not really into into citrus flavored tea. It reminds me of the (bad) tea you can find in any public coffee machine.
This one is good, it reminds me of Yuzuu Temple (from Mariage Freres too), and I liked this one better.
The tea is oily and the flavor is nice without being too strong or overwhelming.
A good everyday tea.

I believe this is the tea I have from Sil, originally from Ysaurella, but it’s possible I read the name incorrectly… anyhow, it’s a green, and I’m sad to say it wasn’t very good. Very bland and tasted like older tea. Which, of course, it is. I’ll give it another shot in case I brewed it poorly, though, as I seem to be doing that a fair bit lately.

Thanks, both, for the chance to try it, though!

According to the Mariage Freres description, this tea was ‘inspired by the legendary aroma of Earl Grey.’ I love green tea, and Earl Grey is my favorite black tea, so this tea is right up my alley.

I find that this tea tastes the best when steeped for a very short period of time.. I literally just pour the hot water through my tea strainer and call it a day, otherwise I find that the tea is a little bitter.

This tea is nice, but I think I’ll stick to Lupicia Grapefruit Green for my citrus-y greens.
