From Green Mountain Tea

Origin: Darjeeling and Ceylon

Type: Black Tea Blend

Range: Broken Loose Leaf Tea

Taste: This is robust tea with a lovely malty taste.

Description: A broken tea processed according to the CTC method with a fresh flavour and malty taste. Delicious with sugar and milk.

Brewing Instructions: Infuse one tablespoon per cup / per person.

Water temperature: Near boiling for three to five minutes. Be careful not to steep the tea for too long or it may become bitter. Especially when preparing white teas, green tea, oolong and black teas. Always consider the recommended steep or brew times as a maximum amount of time you should steep the tea. For stronger tea, increase the amount of tea, but not the steep time.

To gain all the nutrients from the tea resteep the leaves. No two cups of tea are ever the same.

Reinfuse: Suitable for several infusions.

Packaging: Our teas are packed in resealable aluminium pouches. Teas need to be stored in a cool dark place.

UK tested: We import our teas directly from trusted growers to the UK. They are then tested in the UK (unlike teas from foreign suppliers) and are pesticide free.

I bought this one because it reminds me of my Grandad (who is Welsh and still lives in Wales). Plus I can never have too many black teas, great for when guests come over and just simply ask for tea. :)

The loose mixture smells strongly earthy with a touch of malt. Deep brown black in colour and looks like most other loose black teas.

Once steeped a drop of milk was added. A strong smelling malty tea is created.

It’s strong with a smooth and sweet malty mist. The strength is equal to a decent breakfast tea or for whenever you need a bit of a boost. Even though it’s strong it does taste fresh and the fact that it’s organic boosts it up in rank.

Looks like I have just found a cheap yet delicious and strong black tea to stock up on. :)
