武鳳 2022年 清坑澗

Fenghuang dancong cultivar cuttings, established in a Wuyishan zhengyan garden (Qingkengjian) about 37 years ago, now being harvested yefang (untended except for spring picking). Dancong characteristics with Wuyi terroir backbone.

Suggestion: 6-8g / 100 ml, 95-100C.

Dry: passion fruit, slight roast
Lid: floral sweetness, wet leaf: soapy sweet, roast

1. A bit of soap and bitter, but leaves a big floral presence in mouth. Very smooth and floral. Maybe water is rounding a bit. Slowly shifts to passionfruit floral, extends to fill throat
2. A bit rounded pomelo like upfront. Slight bitter, and a bit astringent and sugary green taste
3. More green. Similar finish
4. Similar, maybe carrot in finish
- Did a few more steeps, but mostly green and lightening. Cold brewed o/n, mostly light but has a fruity aspect that sort of lingers. Definitely shows better with slightly larger volume.
