Silver Needle is the ‘High Society’ white tea from the Fuding and Zhenhe districts of the Fujian province of China, also known as Bai Hao Yinzhen. California Tea House only carries the top buds available of its kind. This premier tea is picked between March 15 and April 10 when it is not raining, only using undamaged and unopened buds and governed by strict requirements to ensure you are receiving only the finest tea available.
Silver Needle has a sweet, clean taste and is the Pinot Noir of teas as it is appreciated by the sophisticated palate of seasoned tea connoisseurs

A pretty mild white tea when made at the recommended temperature and time for a white tea. I had three variations of it in which the water was hotter or it steeped longer and none of them were as smooth and pleasant but each had and increasingly sweeter, more honey-like aftertaste.
