From Butiki Teas

Hello Sweetie is a custom blend that we created for our customer, James. What initially started out as a coconut cream pie flavor with a puerh base tea turned into a banana, coconut, praline (nuts), and toffee flavor with our Premium Taiwanese Assam base tea. How did that happen? We are not entirely sure but this delicious combination has a creamy coconut and fresh banana flavor while also presenting a delicious praline flavor that adds a cookie quality to the tea. The toffee adds a buttery texture, while the base tea provides sweet cacao and caramel notes. If you love high quality teas with complex flavors and Doctor Who references then this tea is for you! We recommend adding a little sugar to transform this tea into an exquisite tropical cookie.

Ingredients: Premium Taiwanese Assam, Organic Coconut Flakes, Organic Calendula, Organic Natural Flavoring (vegan)

Recommended Brew Time: 3 minutes
Recommended Amount: 2 teaspoons of tea for 8oz of water
Recommended Temperature: 212 F (boiling)

I received a sample of this from DeleriumFrogs. Thank you!

This one has had tons of positive reviews so on the wishlist it sat. I caved and tried this at the office today. Withe the fancy teas like this I usually try to wait until I am at home with more control over the parameters. I wish I would have waited. I am not going to say too much about this quite yet. I got the coconut out of this, but something hit me a little off. I am glad there is one more cup to give this another go. I mean it has PTA as a base how could it be anything but awesome?

EDIT: I did retry this one at home and unfortunately I believe the coconut is just messing things up for me. I had hoped to love this one, but I guess you can’t love them all. I am glad I got to try it, but this is just not my cup of tea.

I like to try new things at home too when I can so I have more time to focus and enjoy them. Hopefully your next cup will be awesomeness!

I didn’t love this as much as everyone else but I have to give it another chance

I LOVE this tea! It is my favorite (right now) I love how it smells before steeping. I love how it smells when I take a sip. Its just a beautiful tea. It has all the things I love and they aren’t overpowering just very subtle. Yummy

Dang. Yes. Yes, hello. HELLO. AHHHHHH HELLO I LOVE YOU.

Sorry, I got a little carried away there.

I have to be honest, I think I oversteeped a little so the black base was a little astringent. Still that delicious coconut shone through, but I wanted more sweetness, so I added a bit of sugar. Delicious sugar. All astringency defeated, and RIDICULOUSLY good toffee notes smashed me in the face, even through the stuffiness of this cold virus.

Do you know what this smells like, too? Smells a bit like Fantasy Island, aka My Favourite Tea Ever. This tea is actually the one I wanted to try the most out of every tea I ordered. It was this tea that made me finally place an order and stop my dilly-dallying. And I have not been disappointed, yikes.

After reading a few reviews I decided to add a bit of cream (why milk when you have cream?) and now I’m thiiiiiiiis close to just physically shaking and weeping.

This is divine.

ohfancythat

Hahaha was it good for you?
Hehe ;)

Wow I am AMAZED. Not just because this tea tastes good but because it’s a black tea based which I usually cannot drink! First steep is definitely deliciously creamy coconut. Second steep still creamy coconut-y but a sweet banana nuttiness shines through. So glad I found a flavored black I can drink and cannot wait to try Pumpkin Creme Brulee :)

I steeped this a bit longer than usual and now it has a very strange bitter taste to it. I’ve had it many times and it never tasted like that. It wasn’t sour or anything like that (coconut) but it wasn’t as good as usual. Now I only have one cup of this left! :( I’ll have to make this last one count.

Method:
~3tsp/10oz
pre-boiling
First steep: 3min 30sec
Second steep: 4min

This is every bit as good as I remember. Light, natural banana and coconut flavors. Extremely smooth. Fruity, malty assam. A lingering creamy flavor with caramel undertones. I love this tea. So glad I got another ounce before it ran out…It will be missed once it’s gone.

Sadly after seeing Hello Sweetie and searching all around the block there was no TARDIS. Fortunately though there was this awesome coconut tea. It tastes like a good coconut macaroon. Yeah that’s what I’m going to say it is. Of course you could smell coconut pastry when opening the sample bag and waiting 4min took what felt like an hour but it was worth it. YUMMY!

Oh bloody hell. This is delicious. :(

I wonder if it’s all sold out…..

It’s got a perfect balance of flavours. Sweet and desserty without being obnoxious. And I can still taste the tea.

What a super tasty drop of tea! With a slight touch of milk this tastes so much like banoffee pie ( a caramel, toffee, banana, coconut delight!) that I just want to drink cup after cup after cup! I hope I never run out of this tea!

When I had this before i rated it pretty high. Well, I don’t fell the need to change that rating. I added a bit of unsweetened almond milk. I don’t usually add any milk/or substitute but this was quite tasty.

Thank-you TTTTB!
I’m going to miss this one :-(
