Description

Premium Taiping Monkey’s Pick® Green Tea originates from the Anhui province of China. The area in which the tea is harvested is now known as Huangshan district. Folklore says the named originates from the use of trained monkeys to pick tea leaves from hard-to-reach trees. Today, the name is used to denote the finest quality of teas. Harvested on early spring mornings, its leaves have a long, flat appearance with a waffle-like pattern. This tea also became famous after winning a gold medal in the Panama Pacific Exposition in 1915.
