Working on a big project this week, so a lot of the teas I’ve been drinking have kind of fallen into the backdrop while I focus on other things. In this case, I think that benefited the tea quite a bit. In the past, while I’ve been more attentive while drinking this tea, I’ve really picked it apart but drinking it so much more casually I felt like I was really getting a strong “chocolate chip cookie” vibe.

Sipdown! (6 | 283)

I’ve really been slacking on these B&B subscription teas from last month…

This one isn’t my favorite, but I didn’t think it would be. I don’t tend to be very into dessert teas lately. I will say, it does remind me of both honeycomb and cookie dough somehow. There’s a sweet honey candy note but also a doughy quality. It’s also a bit butterscotchy, which is reminding me of the somewhat similar Butter Toffee Popcorn.

So meh, not something I would order, but mostly due to personal preference. But the little popped quinoa bits are super cute! :3

I haven’t opened mine yet. I received it last year and wasn’t truly impressed either.

Cameron B.

I’m finding that sweet dessert teas like caramel and butterscotch are often too much for me now.

Martin Bednář

I see. Honestly while I enjoy flavoured teas, sometimes it is indeed too much. And I am not even craving for them that often as I was earlier.

Martin Advent Day 8
Oh yay this is one I really wanted to try! The smell is kind of strong and bitter, but the flavor is luckily better. Milk definitely brings out the cookie flavors more. In some sips, I can really see what it’s going for in its flavor. It’s a little salty and a little bit doughy. It definitely gets points for creativity and it is pretty remarkable in the moments where I do get the cookie dough flavor. I had originally written a more ambivalent review, but I’m finding myself enjoying it more and more. I love the saltiness.

Martin Bednář

I wasn’t that fan of this blend, I loved the ingredients though and I am happy it’s something you wanted. I wonder, did you went through my cupboard and thought which ones I will pick for you?

Indeed points for creativity and yep, I agree, sometimes it is like cookie dough :) I should try it with dairy back then I guess.

AJRimmer

Nah, I saw it in B&B’s emails and wanted to try it, but didn’t want to pay the steep shipping prices, so I was just hoping I’d somehow get the chance one day! I wanted to be surprised so didn’t really snoop (:

Martin Bednář

I feel sorry for you guys, shipping to Europe isn’t that bad. As I said, I am happy it’s something you wanted to try, though I had no idea of it.

Another tea from August 2020 subscription.

Well. It is weird tea. Haven’t seen tea with: rooibos, cocoa nibs, Ceylon black tea, puffed quinoa, cat flowering tops, stevia and flavours.

Although it is pretty much creamy and dough like in taste, stevia is honestly somehow overpowering everything, although I understand that the taste can remind bit that dough.

As I don’t really know how honeycomb cookie should taste like, I can’t much say it is similar to taste. But the tea itself is somehow in the middle. I like it, but it’s sweet. But it’s called honeycomb so it is supposed to be I think. Creamy qualites are high. Missing bit of some other flavours. Maybe more cocoa nibs next time? I have just looked inside pouch and can’t see any!
Well…

Were there any flowering cats in the pouch?! :)

Martin Bednář

Ahm, a typo. Apparenly it should be a oat but the print isn’t top quality.

White Antlers

Darn. I prefer flowering cats in my tea. This IS disappointing. lol Sorry, Martn, not making fun of you.
