3 Tasting Notes

I feel a cold coming on, and I remembered about this tea sitting at the back of my cupboard, and thought I’d brew some up. Sadly it failed to impress me. I felt the chamomile was too overpowering and didn’t let the other flavours come through. I possibly oversteeped it a bit. It was okay overall, nothing too great or horrible, but I have other teas that I far prefer for the sick blahs.

I really love this tea. As others have mentioned this tea has licorice in it which is exactly what does it for me. Often I find with licorice teas the licorice is too front and centre and it becomes overwhelmingly sweet, but in this case it really is a great finishing note and addition to a great tea that I use on a stressful afternoon, or to help with allergies, coughs and colds.

I tried this tea for the first time tonight. I bought it when I was obsessed with finding a fruity tea and it happened to catch my eye. It is a good combination and good tasting tea, but I didn’t find that either mango nor coconut stood out for me as separate flavours on their own. Overall, it’s an okay tea, but it isn’t going to become a go-to for me.
