My favorite winter tea! Grew up drinking this with milk and sugar, so it hits close to home. Can’t get enough of it right now. :)

I brought some Kukicha green tea to work to brew in my ingenuiTEA, and after brewing this and brewing the Flavia green tea, I noticed so many similarities. I finally got too curious and cut open a bag of the Japanese Green Tea. It’s real tea leaves. And it even has evidence of stems, just like the Kukicha. Although I do have to say my loose leaf is way better haha. I just thought it was neat that at least they’re not using a powder…

I use this at work a lot when I found out the awesome ingredients it has. I do agree that it is a bit sour, especially since I brew it on the ‘strong’ setting in the Flavia machine. But I found that getting a handful of ice and putting it in the cup helps dilute it just enough to give it a great flavor. I enjoy this drink a lot!

I let this one steep a bit longer for a stronger taste. I also brewed with just a bit more chamomile as well. The result was a very aromatic herbal with a great bold taste. I’m addicted to the smell of this stuff.

I brewed this one a bit strong a first, but it was still really good. It’s simply a light and smooth green tea, nothing too complex. It’s also fairly easy to drink!

Not bad at all. I prefer to use this to mix with other teas and herbals though.

When this was steeping in my ingenuiTEA it was nice to see that those little spiral shaped leaves unraveling and opening up. Upon pouring into my glass, it’s a fairly light colored tea. The aroma is very light, as in it’s kind of hard to tell because it’s so faint. There is definitely a slight grassy overtone, but I’m sure there’s more to it than that, I just can’t quiet tell yet. At first it appears to have a slightly sweet taste to it, and as it goes down and you finish your sip it’s a bit earthy. Overall it’s a very light tea with a nice flavor! I recommend this if you’re just getting into green teas, say from black teas or iced teas. It’s easy to drink and I don’t taste any bitterness at all, it’s actually pretty smooth. I found that this can be brewed multiple times (2-3 times, I never go farther than 4-5). I do recommend putting just a bit more than recommended into the cup or it might be too light. I actually brew mine now with 2 teaspoons per cup.

The smell of this is exactly what you’d think it to me. Very strong oranges. At first I didn’t really enjoy the herbal hot very much. But then I tossed in some ice and a touch of sugar and this was a great iced herbal drink! The only way I’d re-buy this is for summer time use of making it iced. Not a bad tea though at all, just personal preference not to drink it hot!

drank Rooibos by Adagio Teas

At first when I brewed this herbal I didn’t like it very much at all. I thought it was too wood-tasting and smelt too much like tobacco. Upon brewing it more and more I’ve actually come to really enjoy this herbal. The deep, smokey, full-bodied taste of a strong brew of Rooibos is great for me. I think at first I was brewing it too light. Now I put just a bit more Rooibos in the tea pot and steeped for an extra 30 seconds. I think that really brought out the real flavor of the drink for sure. Also, the price for Rooibos isn’t bad at all when you buy the 16oz, has a great value (at like .08 cents per cup I believe).

Personally, I find herbals to be perfect for evening/nighttime teas, and this one is probably my favorite at the moment, right next to Chamomile!

The health benefits from the herbal are right up there as well, so why not try this one?

drank Kukicha by Adagio Teas

I purchased this tea specifically so I could drink it throughout the day while I was working. I really enjoy it because it has a great aroma to it and the taste is good (I’m no tea expert, but this is just what I prefer at the moment). I usually steep one serving about 3 times before I get another scoup of it. So far it’s worked great in providing me with energy and focus throughout the day. It helps keep me not only hydrated but alert throughout the day. The tea’s taste is to me, a light bodied tea, with more grassy overtones because of the steams I’m thinking (maybe not?). Overall, this is a good tea and I will purchase it again.
