Funny. I steeped in a flute glass this time, and now it was just wonderful …
Was it porcelain vs glass ?
Was it wide vs tall ?
Was it the amount of leaves ?
Was it the expectation?
Was it the mood?
About 7+ brews, and all just wonderful, balanced, sweet, nutty, fruity…

Good bagged oolong.

Rose hip and and hibiscus of great quality.

I agree with RichD:
‘gold award’ left me wonder what award, really. Not mine for sure.
Not that great, but definitely pretty good.
Typical ripe pu-erh flavour, nice broth.

Fantastic aroma – bright, sweet fragrance, along with some “mountain mist” aura to it.
The flavour is a bit disappointing after that: the aroma’s fireworks do not fully materialize in the flavour …
Clear liquor, on the light and pale side.
It can be a bit picky on the brewing – easy to to get bitter, difficult to get a consistent taste … Tried both gongfu and western style …
All in all, a very good green tea, but … The search can continue …

Standard Karigane, it does the job if you are looking for exactly that:
good twig quality, nice sweetness.
