The smell of this made me sick because the lemongrass was so overpowering. That smell made me nervous to try the tea, but I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor – refreshing with a bit of a tropical flavor. I didn’t add any sweetener, and as usual, I drank it cold. Not on the top of my list, but definitely something I would buy again if I didn’t want a fruity tea.
I was excited to buy this to blend with other teas, as I have seen it on suggested blends. I bought it online, so when I opened the packet to get a waft of lemongrass and cardamom, I figured I was going to hate it. I don’t do hot tea, so I brewed it and put right in to the fridge to enjoy the next morning. With sweetener, I hated it- it brought out the cardamom and lemongrass so much that I could barely swallow it without gagging. But cold, with no sweetener…it’s somewhat decent. It’s a light refreshing tea with a taste of lemongrass that doesn’t hit you until the very end.
I was super excited to try this blend only to find that the Apple Lemon Pomegranate kind of ruined the experience. I added some of the rock sugar, which definitely made me dislike the tea when it was cold. I think that without sweetener, it would be a refreshing blend…but still not one of my favorites.
I’m not much of a creamy/nutty tea fan, as I usually prefer fruitier teas, but this was absolutely delicious! I put a little sweetener in and enjoyed it luke warm; I am excited to try it as a cold tea. It tastes a bit like mulling spice with a hint of coconut – sooooo delicious! Very good as cold tea with no sweetener!
