I just brewed another pot with a tad less water and a little longer steep time. This resulted in a darker colour, but there was no significant change in aromas or strength of flavour. No sign of the tea getting bitter, either, which is a good thing.

I’m having the loose leaf version. The leaves smell great: In addition to the aromas of orange peel and citrus there’s some subtle maltiness with a hint of cookies and some creamy and buttery whiffs even. It looks nice, as well: I like the contrast between the yellowy-orange pieces of orange peel and the cute blue cornflowers. Considering the beautiful scent of the leaves, I expected a little bit tastier cup, to be honest. All the aromas can be found in the liquid; I probably just thought it would have been slightly fuller-bodied. Nevertheless, this is a very good no-nonsense and easy-drinking everyday tea which is widely available at an affordable price. I think this will become a regular in my cupboard.
