This is surprisingly refreshing, and tastes (and smells) like what it says on the label: watermelon and mint.
Watermelon is one of those flavours I hate in candy (like in Jolly Ranchers) because when it’s done badly, it tastes so artificial I want to gag.
This tastes kind of artificial, but it’s not overpowering, and it’s still nice and refreshing. You can taste the mint, as well as some of the honeydew, while the carrot and beet and apple are really there for colour and mouthfeel.
I bought one of David’s Tea’s iced-tea sample packs of this, and brewed it according to their instructions: 1 ounce of the dried leaf, 1 L of 95C water for 7 minutes, then add 1 L of ice. Quite refreshing. Also, it’s a sipdown. But consider me won over.

Ooh, I forgot to mention that I sweetened this with some agave nectar. One of the big pluses in its favour is that the peppermint in the blend doesn’t get harsh or chemically – it just adds a nice pop. And it’s a real purty shade of pink, just like watermelon juice.
Even better, the husband liked it! I poured myself a glass today, nearly finished it, then came upstairs to refill it, only to find out that he had emptied the rest of the pitcher himself!
(rubs hands gleefully in an evil manner) It appears my plans to convert him to tea are progressing…
Haha – that’s great! Mine is also converting and enjoying tea. Sometimes he’ll even ask for a cup and if I’ll make some…and he used to say he didn’t like tea!
I bought one of those packs as well but haven’t made it yet. This sounds promising!

I love the e-vil plans. When I graduate and move in with my BF (he lives in MD now), I totally plan to convert him as well. The plans are already progressing. Muahahaha
