Realizing that I forgot to log this from back when I was in Vegas! I ended up making this as a hotel room drink very hastily whisked up and downed in one of the short 15 minute periods I had midafternoon as I switched from morning restaurant/shopping mode to walking the expo floor. Could have whisked better as this was a little clumpy but the bright lemon was so refreshing and perfect!

Iced!

Continuation of my exploration in water ratios. This time I used one packet for one and a half times the recommended water, and I thought that was much better. Obviously still thinner than following the directions, but I still tasted all the normal flavours I typically get when drinking this. The main reason I’ve been playing with the ratios it just because, while I love these powders, I’m finding that the serving sizes just aren’t enough for me to feel satisfied by the end of the cup – and I don’t want to just double up on packets every time I make one. That’s just not super economical.

Doubled up on sticks of this to make a super large iced tumbler, which was really refreshing. Definitely still more of a juicy, tart and intense souped up lemonade kind of vibe. So little ginger. I mean, really, the more I think about it the more I feel like it was a misnomer on Blume’s part to put ginger in the name instead of going the lemonade route.

Iced! Nothing new to add at the moment – just logging to track number of times drank and that I’m still in a good spot with my goal of adding probiotics into my daily routine.

Iced!

The more I drink this the less I taste the ginger in it and the more I just start viewing it as a souped up and extra tangy lemonade powder. So refreshing! I’m still trying to do a daily probiotic drink, and these are just super easy for me to incorporate into that goal.

Next flavour I tried!

I expected this to be my least favourite as, like I recently noted in another tasting note, I’m not super into the combination of lemon and ginger when cold (and these powders are really more for iced drinks). However, it ended up being more in the middle for me when it comes to the three flavours overall. The main reason for that is that the ginger is very, very light. Just the faintest little bit of heat and tickle.

Mostly this tasted like a souped up lemonade. Very, very bright and tart with a pleasant sweet and sour pucker to it on top of that more tangy apple cider vinegar note that’s present in all three powders. Quite refreshing! It makes me think of all the people who have lemon juice and ACV combined together as a shot in the morning – this is so much more palatable than that, but similar in vibes.

Also, really gorgeous bright and saturated sunny yellow colour!

Back on my SuperBelly kick, so just logging that I had this again as an iced tea. Shaken up using the water bottle method, so nothing fancy. Still delish though!

Iced!

I didn’t totally finish the box of this that I picked up while on vacation, and I already had a pretty full pouch of this at home so I took that as an excuse to bring some stick packs into the office for quick, thirst quenching iced tea there. This was very tangy and tart, but also so juicy and satisfying with those dark, exotic berry and pomegranate juice notes I adore so much.

Iced!

Shook this one up with ice and enjoyed it with breakfast a few days ago. It was nice. The juicy, tart and tangy berry notes basically took the place of the glass of orange juice you’d more stereotypically have with breakfast.

Used the water bottle method to shake this up so I’d have something to drink during the car ride to the local art gallery. I don’t know why it shocks my dad that I don’t drink straight up water. At this point you’d think he’d know better. Tea is mostly water anyway, and especially with herbal powders like this one it’s still very hydrating…

Iced!

As I believe I mentioned in another recent tasting note, I am officially back home in Saskatchewan. I surprised my mom on the 4th, and then on the 5th I went to spend a few days with my father since he’ll only be in town for part of my trip. I’m still there currently, but just for another day or so.

One of the first things we did was grocery shop, which I actually found very exciting. There’s a lot of brands available here that I miss not being able to get in Quebec, so it was nice stocking up on a few of those familiar favourites. While doing that, I saw a small box of this SuperBelly flavour on the shelves and I decided to pick that up too since I hadn’t travelled with any of these “instant iced tea” packets and it was a small enough size I was pretty sure I’d finish it off before going home in a week.

It’s surprising quite hot here, so this was definitely nice to sip on! Especially since I don’t have quite the same cold brew set up here as I do when I’m home in Montreal.

Iced!

So nice to have this blend restocked, and so quickly after running out too! At this point I feel like I just don’t have anything new to write about it, but it’s become such a quick and easy go-to in my stash that I want to make sure I keep logging it to reflect the frequency I’m drinking it…

Iced Sipdown (2781)!

A temporary sipdown as I’ve already decided that when Blume’s new mango flavour comes out I’m going to order that one and restock this one. So, with that determined I didn’t feel as bad finally drinking my last stick pack. It’s such a good late night open when I was something quick to make, cold, and caffeine free. Juicy and tart with a deep, dark sorta sweetness. This might be my all time favourite Blume product…

Iced and refreshing as ever! I’m getting close to finishing off my pouch of this, but Blume has been teasing a new SuperBelly flavour lately (I think mango) that I feel like I’m going to want to try. So, that seems like a good opportunity to restock this one at the same time…

Iced!

Doubled up on the stick packs once again to be able to make a very large tumbler worth of this. I’m getting quite close once again to finishing it off, and now I have to decide whether I want to repurchase for a third time. The tangy, deep red flavour of the pomegranate and punch of ACV is so satisfying and I feel like I always am in a better mood after finishing a cup of this off. Plus, I do really like having it as a probiotic source.

Just… so expensive.

Doubled up in a Nordic Mug (from DT) for an extra bold, tart, and tangy tasting iced tea to cool down with midweek. I don’t know why, but my tea drinking has been especially light this week with a bit more emphasis on herbal and fruitier blends and powders like this one. Just a weird sort of mood/craving/funk combo I’m going through?

I fly out to Toronto for the weekend SUPER FUCKING EARLY tomorrow morning for the Toronto Tea Festival tomorrow, though (working the DT booth this year). So, I’m already getting really hyped and pumped to do some serious tea exploration. It’s actually made me REALLY want to drink a shit ton of tea today, but I’ve had to moderate myself because I need to fall asleep extra early so I actually get some sleep before my flight and getting launched into an especially busy two days.

I’m at the Toronto Tea Festival! Well, currently I’m having hand-pulled noodles for lunch, but you know. Initial impression is that it’s fun but VERY people-y. twitches in introvert

Cold shook one stick pack of this into a bottle of ice water. Normally for a bottle this size I’d probably use two backs, so this was definitely a little thinner and less punchy than I’ve become used to. However, it was still very refreshing with a pomegranate flavour very reminiscent of a Vitamin Water.

The last couple of weeks I’ve been on a bit of a Bubly kick. First with the pineapple flavour, and then with the apple. Most recently I got a case of the raspberry, but unfortunately that sort of ended the obsession since I really don’t love the flavour…

I’ve been struggling with how to use up the remainder of the case, so as to not be wasteful, and I had the idea of trying one of these SuperBelly stick packs mixed in a can to make a sparkling version. Honestly, I’m going to call it a mixed success because it DEFINITELY improved the flavour of the Bubly but on the other hand it was less enjoyable than just drinking the SuperBelly on its own. So, probably not a good strategy to use up the rest of the pack going forward since these SuperBelly stick packs are expensive.

If anyone has ideas on how to finish off the Bubly I’m down to try different things though!

Cold Brew!

Two packets for a 20 oz travel mug, which was deliciously tangy and tart with the deep and juicy pomegranate and acai flavour I love so much. I definitely could have done a better job dissolving versus the “shake method” I went with though because there were some clumps that I ended up sucking up through my straw. On me, though.

Two sticks packs shook up in a giant water bottle because this seemed like as good a choice as any for something hydrating to drink while feeling sick and, if I’m being honest, cold felt better on my raw throat than hot did most of the time…

Like a lot of what I drank this week, this was kind of muted tasting but it does have a punchy enough flavour naturally that I still tasted something. Mostly the tart hibiscus powder, but a little bit of berry too.

Hope the new week brings you comfort and juicy tea experiences as you regain your health!

Cold Brew!

Marika was kind enough to pick up a bag of these for me the last time she was at Indigo/Chapters since she knew I was wanting to restock, and I am so thrilled to have this one back in my stash. when she dropped it off I immediately popped two of the stick packs into a water bottle and shook it up and just basked in the deliciously sweet, tart and tangy juice dark berry flavour.

This is officially my favourite Blume product.

Cold Brew Sipdown (2627)!

Well, I finally finished off my last stick pack of this blend and honestly I have to say there is very, very little I possibly have negative to say about this flavour. To me, the dark and juicy mix of sweet pomegranate and berries was the smashing standout of the Blume’s Superbelly line of products. If it weren’t for a great deal of self control on my part I think I would have finished this bag AGES ago.

It’s the one flavour I fully intended to restock – I’m just trying to decide whether it makes more sense for me to buy direct from Blume’s site or if I want to try and go find it in person at one of the Chapters/Indigo locations here in Montreal carrying it.

Deep, dark and juicy berries with a pop of wonderfully tangy apple cider vinegar powder. I think I’ve decided that when I finish off my last bit of these three Superbelly flavours that this is the only one I’m restocking. They’re all very good, but this one is incredible.

Iced!

I typically drink these Superbelly drinks in sets of three (so that I’m finishing them off evenly), and this is almost always the one I have first when I’m starting a new set. It’s just the best of the three flavours. Deeply juicy with such a dark, ripe berry flavour.
