drank Peachy Lychee by DAVIDsTEA

Ok so this is my new secret guilty pleasure that I really do not want to admit to people. I am enjoying the flavour of this tea, peach and all. Though today’s cup was a little more peachy than anything else.

drank Green Passionfruit by DAVIDsTEA

I am intrigued by this tea and how each cup is so different. I will admit that I shake the tin before opening (not sure why I do this), and perhaps this is why I pick up different flavours in each cup.

This round the dried leaf produced more of a pineapple/passion fruit scent. It brewed a lovely pale yellow with a sweet fruits aroma. I enjoyed every sip of the hot tea with its sweet and smooth passion fruit flavour.

Flavors: Passion Fruit, Smooth, Sweet

drank Melon Drop by DAVIDsTEA

Cannot get enough of this. Had to buy more on a recent trip to the mall and DavidsTea. It helps that my kids also enjoy the tea iced. I love it hot as well.

Sipping this iced right now while watching Mr. Mercedes (King is another one of my addictions).

Flavors: Green Melons, Melon, Sweet

I like it too!

It is the perfect amount of sweet and melon flavour. I will be sad if they stop selling this.

Bought this for the sole purpose of making it an iced tea only. I want to find better options for my children over their regular sugar flavoured juices and ice teas. After a few disappointments for them, I was a little worried that this one would not go over so well.

Dried the leaf smells like tangy fruits. Brewed it is a deep red colour with a very sweet fruity aroma. Every sip of the tea is a perfect combination of sweet and tangy. My kids love the lemonade flavour and will often argue about what fruits they taste more.

I guess it is a hit with them too.

drank English Toffee by DAVIDsTEA

I am still undecided about this tea. I will drink what I have hear, but will probably not keep it stocked in my cupboard.

Dried the leaf scent is a pleasant dark chocolate. It brews a dark brown colour and produces a resemblance of toffee. Taste wise, it was a bitter chocolate flavour. The bitter taste is very over powering and mutes the chocolate flavours.

Enjoyed another cup of this tea with breakfast. I find it interesting that each brew takes on a different taste though.

Dried it smelled like burnt caramel. It brewed an orange brown colour and smelt like an earthy toasted caramel. While sipping the cup I was reminded of toasted marshmellows.

Flavors: Marshmallow, Toasted

drank Blackberry Blizzard by DAVIDsTEA

Decided to brew this hot today and was very pleased that I had not given up on it. Though it isn’t as blackberry flavoured as I had hoped.

Dried the leaf smelt like blackberries. Brewed it was was a lovely deep rose colour with a sweet berry aroma. The taste was a sweet fruity flavour, which was much better than the iced version.

Flavors: Fruity, Sweat

Ah! There you are you tart little tease! I knew it was only a matter of time before the rhubarb would rear its beautiful face. I can honestly say I am now happy I purchased this.

Dried the leaf reminded me of a creamy strawberry candy. It brewed a delightful strawberry colour with a fruity aroma. The first sip was creamy with a hint of strawberry but subsequent sips were tart and delightful.

Another attempt at trying this tea; thankfully there was no slumber this time around.

Dried the scent I picked up this round was black licorice (I love black licorice so I was excited – but think there is something wrong with my nose lol). It brewed a brownish purple colour with a cooked blueberries aroma. Taste wise, I am still picking a bitter black tea flavouring with a hint of blueberries.

Flavors: Bitter, Blueberry

Bio

I am happily married to my husband who definitely is the chatterbox of our 20 year relationship. Together we have three rambunctious children 2 daughters and a son who is stuck in the middle of the girls. We also have a 17 year old fur baby (cat) who likes to the rule house and tell us at midnight it is time to pay attention to him rather than sleep.

I am an elementary school teacher, teaching grade 3/4 with a mixed bag of learning abilities and educational needs. I love my job and share my passion for learning with my students.

I have been a tea drinker since I was allowed to take my first sip, which was very early in life and was mostly the Rose Hip and Earl Grey my grandma would brew by the pot full and serve when company came over. Later in my teen life (once I had more choice of my own) I fell in love with peppermint and green teas. I love hot brews and iced teas. Now I will try just about any kind of tea as long as it doesn’t contain nuts or gluten (damn allergies ruin everything).

I prefer my tea to be natural, meaning without any added sweeteners or cream/milk. I want to be able to experience the tea as it was intended.

My Rating Scale:
0-20: OMG what did I just put into my mouth! I cannot keep this it must be trashed or rehomed.
20-40: Horrible, not something I will drink again, but someone else may still like it
40-60: Ok, nothing overly special, it is kept around because others like it
60-80: Good, either I or someone else in the house liked it
80-95: Great! Will drink this occasionally and will keep it around
95-100: Absolutely amazing, and must keep it in stock at all times!

I invite you to join me as I go through my stash and share my thoughts and opinions on the teas as I and my family drink them (or eat them as my 3 year old says when I use matcha in icing)
