So my peach tea experiences thus far have been rather lacklustre…but I was pleasantly surprised by this cup.

The peach tasted the least artificial out of all the ones I’ve tried – still not quite authentic tasting, but better than a lot I’ve had in the past – and layered in rather nicely over the black tea base. There’s just a tiny hint of ginger heat at the back of each sip that goes rather pleasantly with the sweetness of the peach.

It’s an interesting cup – and one that I’ll likely have again – but I’m not sure if it’s a favourite.

First off, this tea is pink. I was most certainly not expecting that colour from a tea that smells like a lemon creme bar, but once I got over the initial shock I was pleasantly endeared by the fact that it looks so dainty and fanciful.

The taste is actually pretty impressive, also. The rose bits lend a sweet tartness that melds delightfully in with the sourness of the lemon…and there’s something else in there that makes me think of pastry and warm kitchens.

I’m not sure why I’m so enchanted with this tea, but I really do adore the way the flavours come together.

Hmm…I wasn’t expecting much out of this – since I wasn’t really in the mood for an orange tea – but I’ll admit I was pleasantly surprised by how delightfully chocolate it is. Right after brewing it smells almost exactly like a tootsie roll and there’s enough rich chocolate flavour in the cup to make good on that promise.

Not to say that the orange doesn’t flavour prominently in this cup, also – there’s a definite citrus-orange note in the middle of each mouthful – but there’s also a smoky (almost chalky) hint that catches you right at the end that’s almost unpleasant.

My main complaint with this cup is actually that the pu erh is hardly noticeable amidst the layers of flavouring. This is a shame since I actually enjoy the nuance in some pu erhs…but overall the cup is an enjoyable one.

First off, this one has a very strange mouthfeel…almost gritty and astringent at the same time. I find it quite unappealing, truthfully, and it makes it hard to focus on the flavours.

Once I set aside the odd feeling there’s definitely some floral (dusty rose-esque) hints toward the front and a bit of bergamot on the end with a solid enough black base that pops up at odd moments.

As far as an Earl Grey goes – and that’s really how I’m considering this, given the black/bergamot pairing – I’ve definitely had better. The mouthfeel is this tea’s greatest detractor, IMO, and it’s enough to keep me from coming back for antoher cup.

I really want to like this tea…but it comes across as being rather thin and unpleasantly citrus-y. There’s not much depth of flavour or reason for me to keep drinking it, so down the drain it goes. :/

Accidentally oversteeped this…I was making colcannon and completely lost track of time.

The bright side is that this tea is bloody delicious, even with my human errors factored in. You don’t get too much of the pumpkin, but there’s a great spicy note and some pastry flavours layered in over a sweetly delightful black base. It tastes amazing hot, even better as it cools…I was hesitant to try this, but I’m so, so glad I did.

I’d happily have more of this in the future. Gleefully, even.

This one’s a fine, heavy black base with assorted fruit flavours layered over the top like a sweet netting…you catch a little of the fruit in the scent and as an aftertaste, but for me the highlight of this cup was definitely the thick black underlayer.

it’s a good tea, but not as memorable as some of my other black-based blends. I think I’ll pass on this one in the future.

This is my happy oolong…it’s nicely malted, kinda woodsy and nuanced without asking a lot of your tastebuds. Each mouthful sits gently on the palate and lingers in a very gentle, comforting sort of way.

I wish I had the right sort of words to accurately describe this mellow, wonderful tea…but all I can say is that you should definitely try a cup. It’s quite delightful.

1/2tsp in 1c cold milk, some crushed ice and a tsp of raw sugar.

I typically love RLTs flavoured matcha, but this one fell a little flat for me. There’s definitely a cheesecake-y flavour, but it doesn’t mesh all that well with the green base and compared to some of the other flavours I’m not as much of a fan.

Soundly meh, I’m afraid.
