A good, standard white tea. If you want quality and no extra flavors, this is the tea for you.

This is a combination tea, but the flavors did not blend together well. I could clearly taste the Maharaja Chai Oolong and Samurai Chai Mate distinctly. The former is more of an unsavory spice blend than an oolong, and the latter is the best chai tea I have ever had. It still has a pleasant taste, the Samurai being more potent than the Maharaja, but still better is Samurai on its own.

Continuing in the trend of Teavana mastering herbal teas, this hits all the right citrus notes. It is the perfect summer tea and great for those who dislike excess sweetness. I give it to my tea neophyte family when they visit. They are instantly hooked.

Teavana is the King of Herbal Teas in my experience, but this one was a small disappointment. I believe they were trying for a lemonade experience and definitely succeeded. It was sour, but not badly, and quite citrusy. However, it lacked that “tea” essence and tasted like lemonade-flavored water. However, I only drank it cold. This would make an amazing iced tea.

I had a sample of this in Teavana when I purchased my teas and loved it. It is my second-favorite herbal tea (so far). Light, fragrant, and fruity, it does not need sweetener. This is a tea I drink to savor: the combination of white tea, fruit, and floral themes is nearly perfect. My mom, who is an incredibly picky tea drinker, tried this and loved it. It is wonderful to serve to guests.

Teavana’s chai teas are nearly always too potent for my tastes, but this is one of the worst offenders. It claims to be an oolong tea, but I could only taste a unsavory blend of spices. I had to force myself to finish it.

I prefer light chai teas and find Teavana’s to be too potent in general, but I had high hopes for this one because it contained chocolate. However, the chocolate was barely perceptible and the cinnamon too strong. I had to drown it in sugar and honey to make it palatable.

I am on a personal mission to find the best Earl Grey, my favorite tea. This brand is one of the cheapest and available in most store as loose-leaf, but the bergamot and other flavors are too weak for it to truly stand on its own. This is a tea that I drink with a heavy meal; its flavors can accentuate other delicacies, but are not unique enough to worry about being overpowered. I recommend it as a back-up or mealtime tea, particularly if no day is complete without a cup of Earl Grey.
