If you like “normal” black tea you’ll like this. It has all of the characteristics of tea that I avoid… including that weird tannin feeling in the back of my mouth, and that strange after taste that I have been told is the sign of a “good” black tea.
So it’s probably very good…. even though I don’t like it. K-Thnks

Please don’t be turned away by the appearance of this chai while steeping. I had to look up whether or not coconut is considered a starch. It is and the frothing like when you made rice is completely normal.

And this tea is delicious so I am very happy I looked it up. The coconut can take the place of too much milk for balancing out the assam base so for me it only takes a small amount of sugar for it to turn out perfectly.

This one delivers the strong chai taste!

Simmered 4 min in water and then strained.
Exactly as advertised. This is a extremely pleasant, aromatic and well balanced blend that needs no sugar or anything at all to accompany it. The toasty notes of the genmaicha hold there own against the spices and provide a wonderful base for the spices to build on. For the weight conscious looking for the benefits of chai with out added sugar and milk calories. Not for someone who enjoys the flavor smack in the face of extremely strong chai as it is very mild comparatively…
My Favorite Chai!

I’m a big fan of their Chais but I feel as if the coconut in this blend takes away some of the flavor instead of adding to it.
So if you want something a little bit more mellow than their plain Genmaicha Chai I would give this a shot.

Mellow is the right word.
This tea is extremely light of flavor.
Well no one could possibly be offended by any of these flavors so if you don’t like grassy teas you should probably give this one a shot.

It’s malty… But I wouldn’t categorize this as strong. The other Irish Blends I’ve had have made me not want to finish the cup because of their strength. So this one seem light, sweet and pleasant to me.
It is a very nice tea but this isn’t what I thought I’d be getting because I didn’t want to put the cup down.
Perhaps if you use the maximum steep time the strength will develop.
It is complex though. The fruit flavors come out in a very nice way.

Good mild Darjeeling.
Brewing more than once brought out a little astringency for me.

Very smooth. Minimally vegital. With a sweet finish.
Each additional brew becomes more smooth and sweet.
Good for 3 infusions with good flavor retention.

I was afraid to try this tea. Usually when my friends say “try this black tea” I start making faces and trying to weasel my way out of having to drink it. I don’t like teas that make your face pucker up with tannins and bitterness. I don’t like that weird malt sensation in my mouth. And I really don’t like teas that call themselves smooth and sweet and then leave the acrid water after taste.
This tea is none of any of that. The first cup is a little toasty for me however, tolerable… But if you re-brew this tea it seems that the second cup might be the sweetest, mellowest tea with an after taste that lingers and doesn’t turn sour.
Second brew is totally awesome.
First brew is perfectly fine for a black tea.

Refreshing. Easy. Vegital.
But constant shaking is needed to get everything off the bottom.
