New Tasting Notes

It tastes pretty much exactly how the name describes it, like almond cookies. Really distinct almond and coconut flavors. Good, not as good as other almond and/or coconut flavored teas I’ve had, but good. The tea is a little watery, but I am starting to think that most of the teas from Subtle Tea are a little on the watery side. That was a little surprising for me, especially since I steeped it for 7+ minutes. Nevertheless, still enjoyable.

Really nice and flavorful black tea. Not heavy at all but smooth and crazy flavor. The combo of coconut, cocoa nibs and vanilla work together expertly. Also I quite successfully complimented the tea with a chocolate chip and walnut scone and some intriguing discussion…perfection. Great experience overall.

This reminds me of the other cacao-flavored teas I’ve had, like common Vienna green teas. I’m usually not a fan of strawberry in my tea, but this one isn’t too overpowering and the slight hint of vanilla is nice.

Somehow, Derek (my boyfriend) managed to get a great second infusion out of this one. All of my attempts have turned out way too strong!

Bought in Germany on my last trip there. Very good, lots of fruit flavor. Brewed with my TeaDrop.

Not a big fan of tea bags. However, this “black bag” is great. Rich and strong with no bitterness…Mellow

Good, solid black tea. Strong Bergamot scent and good flavoring.

Pretty darned Fruity Tasting…I’m neutral on this one, I think. Don’t love it but don’t hate it.

Delicious at mild temperatures on a hot day.

The scent is just Peachy-Keen, indeed! A bit fruity with undertones of vanilla and honey

If you are looking for a lighter Oolong Taste and scent…this one is right up there

A great balance of tea and fruit; no flavor over pronounced.

Fairly good. A Bit different that other Chai Teas I have had. A hint of sweetness pops out as you sip.

Subtle but flavorful spice. A taste strikingly similar to eggnog.

Love the taste so much that I would always suck its remaining liquid off the tea bag. Yes, I’m a sucker for Ginseng.

Our usual brew: 7g in our sencha pot. We use the hot water straight out of our bottled water tap at about 65 degrees C. Brew for 30 seconds before pouring. An excellent way to start your day.

Another German tea. The description reads:

“Rotbushteemischung mit Orangen-Zimt-Marzipan-Aroma.”

This roughly translates to “Red bush tea mixed with orange, cinnamon, and marzipan flavor.”

It is delightful!
