backlog! from this afternoon. Darn that work getting in the way!
So I’ve had this tea for ages… my friend got me a whole bushel of the stuff and it’s taking forever to finish! Which normally I would not mind except that it seems to be losing potency- It’s been two years, maybe three by now.
and that’s why I don’t blame the tea for the sub-par cup I just had. This rating is for all the cups of Earl Grey rooibos past!
Bergamot is typically wayyyyy to flowery for me(the smell reminds me of lavender, and I hate lavender scent), but somehow this tea manages to make it less overpowering. The sourness I find in red teas balances it out quite nicely.
It goes really nicely with a dash of milk to, but this time I just added some sugar. Next time I’ll add more tea, maybe that will make it stronger.
This isn’t a very complex tea at all but it just reminds me of home, and comfort- perhaps because I’ve had it so long!! my security blanket…
