Reminder that tomorrow is the last theme day from March, National Virtual Vacation Day! Drink a tea from a country you’d like to visit one day! (As always, feel free to interpret as you wish; it could be the tea leaf is actually from that country, or perhaps the tea company you purchased it from is from a country/region/state you’ve always wanted to visit! Maybe the tea is popular in a particular area or has the name of a country in its title!)

This is so exciting I love counting my sip downs, I count anything that has been finished and is now empty, individual tea bags included. Having a monthly challenge to help me along with my sip down is even more fun for me so I can’t wait to update my progress and see everyone else’s sip down progress!!! Here are my current counts:

I’m excited about drinking a tea for each letter of the alphabet! I’ll start April 1st with A, and continue from there with a new note each day. I’m mostly choosing teas I haven’t written notes for previously. I’m missing a few letters, so will have to improvise at times.
I definitely am not going to be going in order (which is why I made a chart to keep track), or interrupting sipdown progress I’m working on. As is my usual routine, I’ll only write tasting notes for the “new” teas I try, not ones I’ve written notes for before. I’m only missing two letters and am fudging a little for those, if I was missing much more than that I’d just skip over those.

May Theme: Gifts From the Garden – In honor of Gifts From the Garden Month, this month focus on those teas that remind you of spring garden growth — fruity and floral notes, herbal tisanes, fresh grassy green teas, oolongs full of vegetal notes! Perhaps decorate your favorite tea-drinking spots with fresh flowers, or take the time to have some sessions outside!
And a few funsy days! Feel free to scavenger hunt through your cupboard and find a cuppa to drink that fits the theme for each of these days!
Sunday, May 2nd: National Lemonade Day – Cold brew a tea in lemonade, or drink a tea with lemon flavor notes!
Sunday, May 9th: Mother’s Day – Drink a tea that reminds you of your mother!
Monday, May 17th: National Pack Rat Day – Drink a tea you just can’t bring yourself to sipdown, or a tea that is a permanent cupboard staple!
Saturday, May 22nd: National Vanilla Pudding Day – Drink a tea with vanilla flavor notes!
Wednesday, May 26th: National Blueberry Cheesecake Day – Drink a tea with blueberry flavor notes!
Excellent themes, yet again. Especially Pack Rat day. haha. And it’s okay to not have the month long challenges every month – I don’t know how you’d think up a new one each month! :D I’ll be catching up on the remainder of the alphabet challenge anyway!
