I’m enjoying a cup at this very moment. I’m taking it with milk and one, controversial you may say; I do enjoy it with lemon but also sweet and white. The reason for this is one day, when I was in Primary School, I was running into my assembly hall in my wellies and I slipped, landing square on my back and soundly winding myself in the process. I was picked up by the auxiliary nurse who bundled me off to her office and consoled me with a cup of the tea I’m currently sipping. Soothing, sweet and scented; it distracted me so well with it’s aromatic mystery I was quickly repaired and sent off to join my classmates. I’ve felt the same about Earl Grey to this day. It may be relevant to note that I am simultaneously burning French vanilla incense and listening to Rumer. It may not.

swoon This is a tea to win hearts. Alluring, subtle and satisfying. Makes me feel sophisticated and coddled at the same time. I need to get my hands on it before it runs out.

This tea is mind-blowing. I just cannae get my heid roon’ it. The flavour is full, the colour is rich; it is smooth, refined and delicious. I enjoy anything that will take me away from myself, and this does exactly that with zero health risks. The clove is so potent it numbs the tongue, like thon red and white clove rock bits your gran used to give you on those long coach-trips. Cinnamon always goes well with me, and the natural sweetness (nae sugar in this mind) hits the spot. As a sage once said, ‘winter in a cup’. Great with or without milk, better with friends.

This is so pepperminty it makes yer eyes pop oot! Not literally, as that’d be an awful shame, but think of it as somewhat akin to the old Vicks stick under the eyeballs. You know, that trick you used to use to make yourself look like you’d been crying so you could get sent home from school on some emotional trauma charge.
Back to the tea – simply the best peppermint I’ve tasted, although very very spensive. Not an everyday peppermint by any standards! One can but dream. This is a fresh, light mintorama and soothing on the stomach to boot. Buy it noo!

My lovely friend Walton brought this back from South Africa for me. It’s a delightful tea with a natural sweetness and a pleasant orangey tang. I enjoy it well steeped but if you give it a wee swish it tastes lovely and delicate. Very refreshing when cooled, but I like it right warm before my bed.
