160 Tasting Notes
I think I’ll just be sitting at my desk drinking tea all day since both of my appointments today canceled. So I’m drinking this, not my favorite, but it’s the only white tea I have so I thought I’d make today green and white teas and the delicious black flavored teas when I get home.
Ironically, the method we use in my job is based off of the book Three Cups of Tea, and despite the controversy, I think I’m going to spend today reading it.
Drank this yesterday, I enjoyed a cup before I visited family for Thanksgiving but didn’t really pay close attention to the flavors. I ordered this because I liked Azteca Fire from Teavana. Della Terra’s is way better, the flavor is a subtle smooth chocolate and the chili is wonderful!! I love that you can actually taste the chili instead of just feeling it like with Azteca Fire.
I usually brew a full pot of tea when I get home from work everyday, and I would love to make a pot of this, but I actually think it may be too spicy for me to drink that much of it. But it is definitely a fun tea, would probably suppress your appetite or be a good after dinner tea.
I’m not a big green tea drinker so sometimes I have to remind myself to branch out. I’ve had this one for a couple months and have sipped it maybe three times, it’s in my mug on my desk this morning.
The smell is so crisp and fresh and the taste is just as good. I like Jasmine in teas, it’s a subtle floral flavor. I don’t have a ton to write about this, most Jasmine green teas are similar, this one is just particularly fresh tasting.
I bought this because I posted in the discussions asking everyone’s favorite decadent tea choices and Rebecca Lynn said that Smore’s from Della Terra is insane. SO CORRECT! I am loving everything from Della Terra right now but smores is amazing.
The first thing I could taste was the vanilla creaminess of the marshmallow. The chocolate came next with that rich smoothness. I cannot wait to drink more of this tea, I love it!
It also has me on a Della Terra kick, making my wish list for Black Friday and looking forward to sharing these with my family this holiday weekend (even though I’m sure they’re far less interested…oh well, more for me!). GREAT suggestion Rebecca Lynn, thank you!
Oh my goodness! SO delicious!! I’m sipping this at my desk at work right now for the first time and the first thing I taste is a roasty marshmallow flavor, it even SMELLS like a roasty marshmallow.
The caramel flavor I think comes after you’ve enjoyed the sip, like an aftertaste, which is actually fairly nice because the tea is excellent all the way through the sip. No bitterness, no dryness. I steeped for 3 minutes at boiling with 1.5 teaspoons.
I made a cup of this as soon as the package came in as I rushed out the door to take my kitten to the vet…it made a cold blistery Vermont day warm and cozy.
This tea has a sugary sweetness to it without feeling sticky, I want to say it’s like frosting but it is much more like real eggnog than that. The cinnamon adds the festive spice to it and the snowflake sprinkles make it FUN!
I usually bring one or two teas to work with tea to drink throughout the day and this one is in my bag today. I love it! This is my first Della Terra experience and I just made my Black Friday Wish List at my desk :p
I got this as a sample with my Della Terra order and drank it last night with a couple of Pepperidge Farm Ginger Men on the side :) Such a treat! It taste very much like a gingerale flavor. It’s not super spicy like other ginger teas I’ve tried. It’s a very sweet, cozy kind of flavor and I love that it’s a rooibus tea and I can drink it at night!
I will probably order the 2oz bag on Black Friday because I love to keep teas on hand for upset stomachs and what better than a gingerale flavor rooibus tea for that? I recommend it
YUM!! Richy, nutty, smooth, delicious! I love this mixed with chocolate tea or roasted mate. The smell alone is enough to make my mouth water. I’m the anti-hazelnut coffee person and I never thought I’d enjoy a hazelnut tea but it is so good. I love Adagio’s black flavored teas for blending, and I suggest you use this to blend with any tea that you wish had a warmer, cozier taste!
People don’t seem to like this tea! I suppose I can’t rate it appropriately because I tend to mix it with Adagio’s hazelnut tea. Mixed together it is reminiscent of coffee, without the acidity or bitterness if brewed right.
This is a great flavor to blend with a roasted mate as well, especially for those of you switching from coffee to tea@
