drank Marron Chocolat by Lupicia
1711 tasting notes

Much better steeped at a lower temp! I did 205 this time. I’m getting a bit of the chocolate in a familiar Lupicia base with the light taste and astringency of chestnut. I’m feeling like chestnut is better suited with green teas because of the lighter flavor and feel of the base, but chocolate is better on a black base. But chocolate and nuts are so good together! I guess that leaves me conflicted, but that won’t stop me from drinking the rest of this cup and enjoying the rest of this bag!

Preparation
205 °F / 96 °C 2 min, 30 sec

My name is Dustin and I like tea.

I’m an added flavor kind of tea fan, but have had a growing appreciation for plain. I want my tea to remind me of cookies and cakes with coconut and almond slices with a hint of chocolate drizzled on top. I want dancing ponies and flying monkeys shooting off fireworks! And no hibiscus. Hibiscus is the devil.
