This tea has an amazing smell dry, and steeped. The taste steeped however is like burnt nuts, not the nice light scent that I had in the bag. I may have used water that was too hot, so as to burn the green tea, but the taste isn’t bitter, it’s sharp. It truly tastes like the walnut and other non tea ingredients were burnt prior to being steeped. I was unable to finish the cup I brewed. :(

My fiance bought me this tea for Christmas. The smell is very sweet, like marzipan but in the taste it is a mellow sweetness. With a little bit of agave added it tastes almost like a (almost) calorie free marzipan – a wonderful dessert tea. It would probably be even more like marzipan if I had used white sugar instead of agave. Before I added the agave the taste was very mild even though I had steeped the tea for the full 7 minutes. This is not a tea I would be able to drink every day or in the morning but as a dessert tea this is amazing! I am so glad my fiance chose to bring this tea home to me for Christmas!

I have mixed feelings about this tea. I have had it multiple times as a latte from the store sweetened with agave. I bought myself a 50g bag of this for home. I just tried this today and unsweetened without milk the flavour and sweetness is completely missing. Since I have started really enjoying good quality tea I have been drinking my tea`s without milk and sugar and I have enjoyed the majority of them. I would prefer this tea if the sweetness of the smell and the honeybush would come through in the tea straight.

I wasn’t sure about this tea before I tried it. I found the smell a little strong and it put me off the taste, but I figured I would brew it up since I bought it. After brewing the scent leveled out and the taste was delicious. I can feel the licorice on the back of my throat. The flavour is extremely calming and well balanced. This seems like it would be the perfect tea to have in a nice warm bath, with some candles and a good book.

This tea has the natural rooibos sweetness, with nice light notes of orange and vanilla. The notes are not overpowering you can still definitely taste the rooibos. All the flavours balance out perfectly. This tea is wonderful. I will definitely keep it stocked on my shelf.

I may have slightly over brewed this tea but I found the citrus to give a bitter undertone to the tea. I was able to enjoy the cup but it was not my favourite. It tastes a bit like lemon peels which gives the bitter taste. I probably wont be buying this tea again.

This tea is a great ginger tea. It has the basic Pu’erh taste but with a strong ginger undertone. I love ginger flavours and this tea does the trick to fill my desire for ginger. I usually brew a strong cup (using more tea than the recipe calls for), but that is just my taste. This is a tea I will continue to drink, and buy.

I loved the smell of this tea, the fennel is very strong in the scent, I couldnt smell the spice at all. Once brewed this tea still smelled delicious, with a slight spicy smell. One I tasted it I could barely stand to have any, definitely couldn’t finish the cup. The fennel taste was strong and tasty but the chili kick was unbareable. I don’t usually mind spice but this was a bad spice kick. I even had my fiance try it and he loves spicy things and even he thought the spice was far too much. I am going to try this tea again without any chilis in it to see how it tastes without the chilis. I definitely wont be buying this tea again.

I agree with the chili overkill in certain cups! But I’ve learned to regulate the heat by choosing how many peppers I steep. Fewer peppers = gentler heat, I promise.

I have always enjoyed tea. One day during the Olympics in Vancouver on a cold rainy day I came across this tea store, I went in and I was amazed by the number of teas. I was probably there for over an hour smelling every tea they had in store. The store I stumbled upon was DAVIDsTEA. That day I bought about 5 tea`s with high caffeine content so I could stay awake for my night shifts. Later that year during the summer I returned with my boyfriend and I left with 10 tins of 100g each of tea. Since that day I have not bought tea from anywhere else. I have become a tea fanatic since that one cold winter day in Vancouver.
