Classic. I knew I was going to like this. I don’t think the dusting of matcha did anything to wake me up, though. I’m perpetually tired.

Long ago I swore to stop buying matchas from DAVIDsTEA, but I inherited this bag from my late aunt. I prepared a cup to drink hot and found it much too sweet the first time. Now I only add this to vanilla ice cream or yogurt to make a milkshake or smoothie.

Flavors: Blueberry, Sugar

It’s been so long since I’ve been able to log in to this website that I’ve forgotten most of the teas I’ve tried in the past several months.

This is what I’ve been drinking recently because I received a box on my birthday. The artificial flavouring is apparent, but it’s not the worst instant milk tea I’ve tasted. I can’t – or won’t – go out to get bubble tea during this pandemic, so this is satisfactory. The blueberry flavor milk tea is supposed to taste like The Alley’s in-store Royal Milk Tea.

Glad you managed to log in eventually! I stay logged in now because of all the issues I’ve had with it in the past.

A nice, sweet dessert tea to enjoy when I’m in the right mood. It’s not the prettiest tea, because I could gradually see something floating to the top as my tea cooled, but at least the flavour lives up to the name. I seemed to receive a tin with lots of candied pineapple, so occasionally the taste of pineapple overpowered that of the lavender, but not always. I might add some milk in the future for even more creaminess, but no extra sugar is required with this tea.

This tea smells amazing out of the tin, and it looks pretty too (was a watery peach colour in the steeper but a deep raspberry colour in my cup). However, I wasn’t impressed by the flavour at first. After finishing the first cup, I ended up adding a splash of milk and some rock sugar to my steeper, and then I let my second cup cool off. The flavour greatly improved after that, hence my high rating. All signs point to Chocolate Covered Strawberry tasting better cold/iced.

I’m surprised that others find this tea too sweet, because I want it to be sweeter. After reading another review, I actually do want to compare this to Love Tea #7, but unfortunately I can’t recall that flavour right now – and I thought I still had some on my shelf, but was sadly mistaken. I am certain that I don’t love this tea as much as White Chocolate Rose, which is something I wished that DAVIDsTEA had brought back this year for Valentine’s Day, but…maybe next year? Fingers crossed.

All I could taste at the time was heated up apple juice. Fifteen minutes later, I can concede that the flavour of this tea somewhat resembles apple pie filling, but I prefer to eat my apple pie, not drink it; and I’d like it with ice cream… Anyway, the name of the tea is not Apple Pie, so I’m not sure what the intention was. I’m not sad to see this one disappear from my cupboard.

This tea definitely needs to be steeped for a long while to ensure maximum enjoyment. After leaving the store with a cup, I took a small sip every few minutes, and thought that the tea tasted best after at least 10 minutes. I quite like this! There’s a bit of a sweet, fruity, floral flavour from the rose petals, and I didn’t think that overpowered the oolong base at all. If I can earn any more Frequent Steeper rewards before this tea sells out, then I will get another 50g; otherwise, the price is a little bit off-putting.

You’re most likely to find: Black/Green/Oolong Teas. Caramel. Chocolate. Cream.

I am also tempted by: Flowers. Comparisons to alcohol. Berries.

Despite the above, I generally dislike herbal teas and fruit infusions.

Coffee flavours do not belong in tea. If I want coffee, I will go to Starbucks.
