drank Rooibos Earl Grey by Dragonfly Tea

I love this tea! Sometimes I try to avoid caffeine, so am always looking for herbal infusions and this has to be my favourite! I like Rooibos, but find the plain one a little boring. This Earl Gray version is really versatile. You can drink it with, or without milk, hot and even left to cool and drunk cold it’s really refreshing. I just really like this Rooibos version of Earl Grey!

drank Chamomile Flowers by Teapigs

I don’t like writing bad reviews however, I was really disapointed with this. It looks beautiful, as all Teapigs teas do however, it just doesn’t taste great. It’s Chamomile but a little bitter, a little dull, a little meh! I love Chamomile teas before bed however this version, which with whole flowers I feel shold taste better, sadly just doesn’t do it for me.

drank Kava Stress Relief by Yogi Tea
9 tasting notes

I have to watch how much caffeine I drink so only drink herbal infusions after around 5pm. I have had Kava extract before but it was then banned in the UK so no longer take it. I bought these anyway when I found somewhere that had them in stock.

They don’t really have the nice Kava peppery taste, they do however have a more clove / cinnamon taste to them. It’s not unpleasent but it’s not fantastic either. They are pretty relaxing and I suppose could say have helped me sleep however probably not more so than anything else I’ve tried.

Overall I’d say Yogi Kava tea was OK but I won’t be buying them again

This is the second tea I’ve tried from driftwood and I love it. I’d describe it as sweet, fruity, slightly grassy and fresh – which is pretty much how they describe it – but I imagine this is how good white teas should taste. It’s certainly a far cry from the Twinings White Tea bags I first tried which I wasn’t a huge fan of.

In emails I’ve sent to James who owns driftwood tea he says this is their best selling tea. I can certainly see why!

drank Night Time by Pukka

I really like this tisane! I realised that I might not be sleeping too well because I was drinking too much tea at night. I now drink this and love it. Warming, calming, relaxing. I’d highly recommend this.

(Upped my rating for this as it remains one of my favourite non-tea teas! – great for evenings!)

I find this tea to be clean and bright with a nice floral tone but lacking in any real depth. It is however a great tea to serve to people who’ve never really adventured much away from generic tea bags; it show how naturally sweet and flowery tea can be and is unlikely to elicit any strong dislikes. It also has pretty tolerant brewing paramaters so is easy enough for the uninitiated to brew.

drank Dong Ding Oolong by driftwood tea

I love Taiwanese teas and this is a great example of one of the country’s best. Full of fruity, creamy notes with just a hint of biscuity toastiness this is a really delicious tea and one I will always make sure to have in the cupboard!
