1184 Tasting Notes
Thank you Angel at Teavivre for these samples!
I am enjoying these roasted oolongs more and more, and have discovered that I am a huge fan of Taiwan oolongs, it seems they are complex and have sweet notes.
This tea is delicious with a silky mouthfeel and milky notes. I am getting a bit if sweetness, almost caramel notes along with that roasted flavour. This is a wonderful green oolong.
I steeped the whole package (about 3 tsp) in boiling water for 1 min, resteep at 2 min.

Thank you Lala for this sample
I didn’t read the description until after I had drank the tea. To me, this tea was woodsy, a little fruity but I wouldn’t have said peach specifically. Somehow, I tasted mint in this tea. My husband even commented that it smelt like mint. Weird. Maybe it got contaminated because I had it in a container with a whole bunch of other samples.
So, I had already drank it when I read the description and couldn’t go back to see if there was peach notes or not. I am not going to rate this.
Thank you so much to Angel at Teavivre for this wonderful sampler of oolongs! I love oolongs in the fall and winter, they are just so comforting.
This is my first experience with a gaiwan and I will definitely need more practice because I almost burnt my hand. I followed the websites steeping parameters (R, 25s,25,30,40,60,90,120,180)
The first 4 steeps were very floral and has milky aroma and mouthfeel. There is a natural sweetness.
The last 4 steeps lost a bit of sweetness and seemed a little more vegetal.
I also want to sample this with the western method so I know where I really stand with this.
Thank you much Lala for this sample ad so sorry it took me so long to try it….so much tea, so little time!
This was first on my list because honestly, I have been a little scared of it. I love flowery teas, but for some reason, I am not a fan of rose. Anyway, it smelled and tasted pretty strongly of rose. So, it is just not for me. I am glad that I got to try it though!
