I love this tea, especially with a few small pieces of rock sugar. The pineapple is real and slightly sweet. The oolong is slightly floral.
I am glad that I got to enjoy this cuppa today.

Experimenting again tonight with eggnog. Note to self: eggnog does not mix well with Assam.
This Assam is best with just a tiny splash of milk

This is a sad sipdown. This tea will surely be missed. Maybe if there is a Black Friday sale, I will order more!
Brewed almost double strength with some milk and vanilla creamer…amazing!

Mmm….nice and creamy dessert with a tiny bit of hazelnut creamer. I don’t know what’s up with my addiction to creamers lately. They are so unhealthy, I gotta kick that habit.

No surprise that I really enjoyed this tea. I rather enjoy whites and I enjoy the sweetness of the toffee. It is also a little nutty which I really enjoy.

I have developed a habit of adding milk or creamer to my flavoured blacks. So, this morning, I added some vanilla creamer to this lovely vanilla and cinnamon tea. It was delicious of course!

Ooo. That sounds good. Since I’ve been trying milk with unflavored, I think I’ll have to try it with this.

Do it! Haha. It brings out the vanilla notes more

So, I was grocery shopping and spotted some egg nog….what the heck, I’ll get it. Boy, am I ever glad I did! I steamed up some and added it to this tea which was brewed at double strength. It was AWESOME! I was losing interest in this tea, but my love has just been rekindled. Wonderful evening treat, and no need for dessert (well, I guess this is dessert)

A little taste of paradise this morning. I wish I was on a beach somewhere right now instead of here in the cold and snow! Maybe in the new year I will go on a trip.

I still really enjoy this. The papaya is coming out a little more today. I guess I got some bits in my tsp! The black base can get really astringent if brewed for too long though, so you kind of have to watch the time on this one.

Boiling water cooled off a little at 3 minutes.

Thank you Lala for this generous sample!

This tea is not as flavourful as I would of hoped as Lala mentioned. I still enjoy it though, the subtle black base and the subtle hints of orange. Not a tea I would choose if I wanted a big kick in the morning. It seems like an afternoon tea

Thanks again Angel at Teavivre for this sample

Sample sipdown and I am sad to see it go because I really enjoyed it.

I steeped this with my new little gaiwan today. I still need practice though because I almost burnt my hand again. I used the website’s parameters (rinse,25s,35,45,55,65,75). I found that the sweetness didn’t have as much of a chance to develop as with western brewing and it seemed like there was a sharpness somehow. Still delicious

Bio

Hello,
I am a nurse. I have numerous hobbies: reading, crocheting, crafting, card making, scrapbooking, photography, shopping, and of course drinking TEA!

I started drinking loose leaf tea in Dec. 2010 when I went into a DavidsTea for the first time and have been hooked ever since! My favourite is probably white tea, but I also love black and oolong. I also like a nice relaxing rooibos or herbal in the evening. On Sundays, I like to treat myself and make a tea latte.

My favourite flavours are nutty, vanilla, chocolate, jasmine, tropical, fruity, earl grey.
My dislikes are lavender, rose, hibiscus, banana, and straight green or overly vegetal teas.

I am admittedly fairly generous in my rating scale. Most of my teas I rate at 90 and above, and would re-stock these teas.
Anything under 90 I probably wouldn’t re-stock unless I found a great price.
