1184 Tasting Notes
I am not usually a fan of roses in tea. However, I am a fan of white tea, especially with cream elements. This is actually pretty good. I like it more than I expected to because the rose is not overpowering. It is more blended into the tea rather than over top of it if ya know what I mean.
I will have to think about how to rate this
First tasting note for this tea!
I really enjoy honeybush in blends, so I thought I would test it out. I enjoy it plain as well. Woodsy, with some honey and citrus notes.
I also bought it to tone down the caffeine in some blacks. For those days I really want a black but not all the caffeine. It will possibly also add some sweetness to whatever I add it to!
No surprise here, but I really enjoy this one. Subtle pumpkin and creamy buttery oolong with some spices. Love it!
The resteep was thoroughly enjoyable as well. I am glad I got lots of this!
This tea is so fragrant and rich smelling
The taste is wonderful, woodsy, nutty, with light sweet creamy notes. I am not finding any cherry notes in this particular cup. I will pay closer attention with my next cuppa. It is amazing to me how whites sometimes have that creamy feel to them
Wonderful choice on a cold winter afternoon.
The large hairy silver needles are gorgeous…haha that sounds funny.
The most prominent notes are the malt and hay. Then this tea transforms into sweet, subtle, silky peach notes. The aroma is intoxicating.
There is something about white teas that I love in the afternoon, so calming an subtle. I need more whites!
Oh wow, why did I wait until now to order this? It is delicious. Malty, with chocolate notes, raisin notes. Soo good. I might “need” more of this on Black Friday, even though I already have quite a bit!
I really am enjoying all the straight blacks that I have ordered from Butiki. There are still more I need to try though, lol
Oh wow! This tea has gotten very rave reviews and I was worried that I would be disappointed, but there was no need to be! This tea lives up to every rave review.
It smells divine, it’s hard to describe. Fruity and honey.
The leaves are beautiful and long.
The taste is delicious. Sweet waffle cones and a slight fruity note, but I am not sure that I would have said raisin. In later steeps, I get slight caramel notes.
This tea is so different than all other blacks. I have a feeling this one is going to be restocked frequently in my cupboard.
Yes Tigress, it was a very good middle of the night cuppa, but sadly, it was also a sipdown:-(
The good news is I haven’t ordered any tea in a very long time, and I will restock on black friday! Can’t wait :-)
Black Friday is going to be crazy this year! Still working out the details but our giveaway prize this year will be a porcelain tea jar (last year was the gaiwan ;) ) and one of the days we are doing a bonus leafhopper tea and “I Love Leafhopers” magnet. I fully expect to be in the office 24/7 for the entire week.
Awww, can’t wait, thanks for the heads up Stacy! You know, I’ve been drinking your magic potions all summer long, can’t wait to restock on my favourites! (sounds like you’ll need to gulp down gallons of strong highly caffeinated tea in order to go through it all!!)
I’m very excited about our Black Friday weekend! No problem, I like to spill a little detail. Next week we should have the complete details worked out ahead of time so that people can plan their attack. Oh yes, will be drinking tons of black tea and perhaps a few Kenyan CTCs. They really get me going.
Thank you to Angel at Teavivre for this sample
I wasn’t sure what osmanthus was but I imagined it being something like jasmine. Well, it isn’t. It is sweeter but also more bitter at the same time. I don’t know if I am the only one getting that note.
The oolong is very green an vegetal.
Resteep 5 minutes
I enjoyed this sample, but I think I will keep jasmine as my number one floral choice.
