Sip down
I have enjoyed the last of this tea cold brewed with my lunches at work. I would say that this tea is a little sweeter cold brewed which is enjoyable for me.

Just what a tiger should be….big, bold, a little scary, but smooth and beautiful.
Note to self: please Do NOT overleaf and oversteep this, it gets very astringent. I ruined my last cuppa this way and I was a little scared something happened to the tea. It turns out that it was just user error. Oops. I won’t make that mistake again!

Thank you for the sample!
I was doing a bit of tidying up yesterday and found this little sample packet tucked behind a whole bunch of stuff on my dresser (because I was hiding yet another tea package from the husband….;p). It must have fallen out of the bag and I wasn’t aware. So I had this for a month or so and didn’t even know!
This tea is really lovely. The base is not astringent and really juicy. The peach notes are natural and very juicy, I was picturing that sweet juice running down my chin after I took the first bite of a fresh peach.
Secondary notes are buttery pastry. There is just a hint of spiciness right at the end but doesn’t linger. I can’t pinpoint what spice it is, but it is good.
The resteep held up really well in flavour.

drank Earl Grey Cream by Zen Tea
1184 tasting notes

Sipdown. For some reason, this bag wasn’t as good as I remember this tea being. They must have changed it up a little. Earl grey is a flavour that I really have to be in the mood for these days. I am really picky about how I like my Earl grey blend too be. This is a good combination for me though.
I will likely order this one again. Every tea drinker has to keep at least one Earl grey in their cupboard right?

I am so happy to have this tea back in my cupboard. It is rich and smooth with clear vanilla notes. The chocolate notes from the base tea are not astringent.
One of my favourite teas!

drank Coconut green by Zen Tea

Sencha is definitely not my favourite tea, but it is enjoyable in this blend. The coconut is sweet enough to overpower the vegetal base which is good for me. I have been cold brewing this to take to work lately and it does the trick. I would likely order this again since I don’t have (or like) many greens in my stash.

I received this as a sample! Thank you Brenden!

This is delicious and definitely something that I would order. I love black teas with that deep dark chocolate note. I didn’t get too much time to focus on the tea as I had to hurry off to work, so I will pay more attention and rate it next time I enjoy this beauty.

This one is good. The raisin and plum notes are prominent in my opinion. The cocoa notes are only there for a brief second. there is a baked goods aroma wafting out of the cup.

I am learning that I love black tea much more than pu’erh but I really enjoyed this one. The cocoa nibs add a deep chocolate flavour to the earthy base. It is very pleasant and resteeps multiple times. The resteeps hold up in flavour really well

drank Santa's Secret by DAVIDsTEA
1184 tasting notes

I didn’t get around to getting to the mall this year before Christmas to get the winter teas. I get a bag of this every year.
Lo and behold, my husband bought me a Christmas gift package that had a bag of this tea, Santa’s secret white chocolate bar, and a shiny new “perfect teaspoon”.
I really enjoy this tea as an egg nog latte. The mint isn’t overpowering and it is slightly sweet. Delicious.

The chocolate bar is kinda weird to be honest. I love chocolate, but white chocolate has never really been my favourite. But hey, I will never turn down chocolate. The crunchy tea bits are a little weird. I kinda thought it would be infused into the chocolate somehow, not actual leaves. I probably wouldn’t purchase one myself. There is much better chocolate out there (Lindor—I’m looking at you ;)). It was enjoyable enough.

Dustin

I have been a little disappointed with David’s chocolates. So much potential with what they are trying to do, but the chocolate doesn’t deliver in flavor and complexity.

Bio

Hello,
I am a nurse. I have numerous hobbies: reading, crocheting, crafting, card making, scrapbooking, photography, shopping, and of course drinking TEA!

I started drinking loose leaf tea in Dec. 2010 when I went into a DavidsTea for the first time and have been hooked ever since! My favourite is probably white tea, but I also love black and oolong. I also like a nice relaxing rooibos or herbal in the evening. On Sundays, I like to treat myself and make a tea latte.

My favourite flavours are nutty, vanilla, chocolate, jasmine, tropical, fruity, earl grey.
My dislikes are lavender, rose, hibiscus, banana, and straight green or overly vegetal teas.

I am admittedly fairly generous in my rating scale. Most of my teas I rate at 90 and above, and would re-stock these teas.
Anything under 90 I probably wouldn’t re-stock unless I found a great price.
