2 Tasting Notes

One of the finest Oolong teas I’ve ever had. I fell in love with it the first time I drank it but sadly due to the expensive price for this tea by Teavana keep it for special occasions.

One of my favorite black teas offered by Teavana. Being a die-hard chocolate lover the coca undertones make this one of my go to teas.

Bio

My grandfather brought home a love of tea from his time in Europe during WWI. I’ve been drinking tea for as long as I can remember.

My first tea memories like many Americans are of Lipton, but in my thirties I discovered the health benefits of green tea and drank jasmine pearls almost exclusively until 2011 when I took a part time job with Teavana.

While working at Teavana I learned much about tea. The different types and how they are produced and picked up some new favorites. Specifically some of the darker Oolongs produced in China and Thailand and Japanese Sencha.

While I enjoyed working at Teavana, especially there generous employee discount – the company sales policy fostered a very cut-throat environment that I could not acclimate to. Since then I have been searching high and low for good quality teas at reasonable prices and have found local Asian markets to offer some very fine high quality teas at some very remarkably low prices.
