This is the first tea I’ve tried since taking a break from tea for many years (long story), so I kind of feel an attachment to this smooth and tasty green. Temperature was 170 degrees, but I’m seeing others have gone a little higher than that so I will try it.

I’m fairly pleased with this tea. It’s light, it’s refreshing, and it has a unique taste that no other brand can quite replicate.

So, I’ll start off by saying I think it’s hilarious they give you this cute little spoon that you can’t even use to scoop the leaves because the leaves are too big! Oh well. Idea is still cute.

The unsteeped leaves smell very interesting. There’s a smell that I can’t quite put my finger on, oddly enough it reminds me of alcohol. It has the same burning sort of smell. There’s undertones of a fruity sweetness.

The steeped liquid does not have a strong smell. The first sip tasted strongly of apples in a very good way, but also very surprising. Green apples specifically. There’s a sort of honey goldenness in the background. Overall, very enjoyable if not misleading, as it doesn’t really scream green tea much at all to me.

This brand offers mixed results. However, I am fairly pleased with this green. Honestly, I know there are much better options, and I will most likely explore those options but for a first tea purchase I was fairly satisfied. I would drink this again, and I would recommend this tea for a new tea drinker but probably not an established tea enthusiast.

This green tea surprised me. The aroma smelled of something unlike any other green tea I’ve had. I could almost smell some fruit – peaches perhaps. When I steeped it, the aroma was stronger and I couldn’t wait to try it. Upon tasting I could not taste the peaches but there was a faint taste of lemon and it was very smooth on my palette. Very good tea to bring in the new year!
