Yunnan SourcingI bought this tea for my girlfriend, but turned out she wasn’t a huge fan of it – good thing I like Bai Mu Dan! This one starts off almost cloyingly sweet, with what I can only describe as a floral marshmallow sort of vibe. It settles down a little bit in subsequent steeps with some not-quite-as-sweet florals and a bit of a green hay note. Pretty good daily drinker quality tea for people who like white tea.

It is hard bringing them into our love of tea.
She’ll usually drink whatever I’m drinking, excepting really bitter sheng. She just didn’t feel this one was worth the effort to brew up (western style) herself when I wasn’t sharing or wasn’t there or anything :P
My wife mainly drinks black tea, but she’s diggin the YS Golden Guan Yin Da Hong Pao. It’s very smooth with just the right amount of subtle sweetness and mouthfeel to please black tea lovers.
I just tried some old jasmine tea, and didn’t like how I didn’t get any flavor out of it, but just some really bitter grass. Judging from this, do you think I should shy away from white tea?
