From Yunnan Sourcing

From the Feng Qing tea factory in Lincang. Feng Qing tea factory (Feng Brand) is located in Lincang and has been producing Yunnan black teas for almost 70 years!

The “Amber Black tea” is made from high quality old plantation (old varietal) tea bushes dating back 60 to 80 years! The tea is carefully processed by hand and remains straight and needle like. Incredibly complex taste and aroma that is only found in Fenq Qing teas!

Meh. I prefer more delicate teas in the morning because my palate is fresh and can really enjoy subtle flavors. This has just a touch of astringency, and may be good for someone who needs a stronger “wake up” tea. It’s okay, though. It’s malty, but not sweet, mildly woody and earthy and has some hay-like notes. It’s kind of “meh”, but we’ll see if it grows on me.
