Starehe is the Swahili word for relaxation which is a fitting name for this rare and high quality Kenyan white tea. White teas are the least processed teas and they have an abundance of antioxidants. The highly prized leaves are steamed and air dried to preserve the nutrients and natural flavors of the plant.
This rare silver needle tea is Kenya’s premier tea and its rarity is matched by its exquisite taste. It is low in caffeine and high in EGCG, an antioxidant that prevents new fat cells from forming and fights signs of aging and cancer.
Brewing Instructions:
Brew approximately half a teaspoon in 8 ounces of water at 170-175 degrees F for a period of 3-4 minutes. One ounce makes approximately 15 servings and the steeped leaves can be reused for another serving.
