From Verdant Tea

We originally developed this herbal blend as a custom creation for wholesale partners across the Twin Cities. Restauranteurs and coffee shops were looking for a naturally caffeine free blend that appealed to customers no matter their perspective or experience – a blend that brewed up with body & balanced sweetness, great with food or on its own.

In just a few months, the Summer Chamomile Blend has become our most popular here in the Twin Cities. Our favorite restaurants are proud to serve it alongside their food (made with love!) and carefully curated wine, beer & spirits.

Chamomile and dandelion root form a full, sunny base for this herbal, with natural hints of fruit. We bring that out with sweet goji berry and a touch of tart, complex schisandra berry. Lemongrass, linden leaf and chrysanthemum balance with bright, herbaceous florals, while tulsi and vanilla draw out the aftertaste to create a sweet, rich and refreshing finish.

INGREDIENTS (all organic): Chamomile, Dandelion Root, Chrysanthemum, Goji Berry, Schisandra Berry, linden leaf, lemongrass, tulsi, vanilla extract

Western Brewing
Use 4g of tea (1T) in 6-8oz of fresh-boiled (205°F) filtered or spring water. Steep for 45 seconds in a brew basket or equivalent. Enjoy many infusions. Add 15-25 seconds with each steeping, or to taste.

Iced Tea (Cold Brewing – recommended)
Use about 3 grams of tea for every 12oz of water. Combine with room temperature water in a covered vessel and refrigerate for 8-12 hours. Enjoy!

Iced Tea (Flash Chilled)
Use 1TB (5 grams) of tea in a 6-8oz vessel. Rinse twice with boiling water. Steep for 1 minute with filtered boiled water. Fill a martini shaker (or equivalent) with ice, then add brewed tea and shake until well-chilled (usually 10-30 seconds). Pour out through martini-shaker top over fresh ice in a new glass and serve.
