From Verdant Tea

When we opened our teahouse and tasting room in Minneapolis, we were lucky enough to collaborate with the Birchwood Cafe, an establishment locally famous for their commitment to small family farms. They helped us craft small bites to pair with teas while we hosted them in our kitchen. When they renovated and reopened, we blended this as a tribute to the Birchwood to give them something truly unique to serve. Refreshing hot and iced, it seems very appropriate to these early summer months.

Feeling a little stuffed up but that’s most likely due to the weather. It’s supposed to thunderstorm later tonight so it’s probably an air pressure thing. So it’ s the perfect time for this tea with it’s minty ability to help clear the sinuses. It also helps with brain fog a bit.

Oops i haven’t logged this and I’m sipping it down today lol my bad! In a nutshell, this was a delicious mint tea, very smooth from the licorice and a bit sweet. Easy to drink and a very nice herbal. I and many others that I shared this tea with (the boyfriend’s mom, my mom) enjoyed this a lot! Might reorder at some point, but I enjoyed it while I had it :)

This was my box of samples from Star. At first, it smelled nicely minty. When I brewed it, the licorice root flavour came out. There is way too much of that root for my taste.

I can NOT believe no one has reviewed this tea yet!! This tea is seriously absolutely amazing!!! I received it in my June 2014 Verdant Tea Blends Club, along with Golden Earl (also amazing!), and Gardens of Anxi (yet to try).
I was completely caught by surprise with this tea. I have been having a lot of stomach problems in the past months and I have been trying to find a tea that sits well. I was having DavidsTea Super Ginger, but tonight I was wanting something a bit different. This tea calms my mind and my tummy. Its an absolutely perfect blend of Birch Bark, Cinnamon, Licorice, Peppermint, Spearmint, Tulsi, and Vanilla. I don’t know how they did it but I really really REALLY want more of this tea!!! Its so refreshing and relaxing. Every sip is a explosion of awesomeness. It is so good I am not even sure how to describe it. I sure hope they add this to their blends. Everyone must try this!!
