From Truly Tea

Truly’s Pure Lemongrass & Ginger is exactly as the name suggests.
This lively tisane offers wide-awake flavor without any caffeine.

It combines the puckery taste of lemon with the sharp, lingering bite of ginger, making it a great sipping drink, just the way it is or add a bit of honey for a sweeter, smoother drink.
Great for settling an upset stomach due to nausea or motion sickness.

Infuse in water nearly boiled for 1-3 minutes depending on your preferred strength.
Enjoy without milk.

Like it iced?
Steep 4 tbsp into a jug of cold water.
Refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight. Remove the tea add sliced lemon, honey or sugar syrup and maybe even some fresh mint or ginger.
Enjoy over ice.

Need your iced tea in a hurry?
Infuse your tea in a jug, fill with nearly boiled water.
Infuse for 5 minutes.
In the meantime, fill your glass with ice, place your fruit down the side of the glass.
Pour over your tea, add sugar syrup if you like and top with a sprig of mint.
Enjoy!

Ok, this blend wins a 100% boost from its first rating because I’ve just made a cold steeped blend that I am totally in love with and it was one of the ingredients.

I used:
4tsp this blend
2tsp Monstrositea Mint
2tsp T2 Turkish Apple powder
1tsp Monstrositea Lavender
1tsp (or maybe 2tsp?) T2 Just Ginger
in around 1.8L water (didn’t quite fill the 2L jug)

And it is a world of deliciousness. So refreshing! I’m really happy with this creation, particularly as I don’t play scientist very often. I’m so happy with this that I’m gonna have to get some more lemongrass & ginger to recreate it! But maybe another company’s blend. Sorry Truly. <3

T2 has one, and you won’t have to order it online. :D

Memily

Yeah but T2 are owned by Unilever these days :( trying to support small Aussie businesses going forward.

Hannah F.

Jeez, are they really?

If you’re ever in Sydney, I know of a small tea shop (in a very pretty shopping center) run by a little elderly Chinese man. Maybe I’ll go there tomorrow.

Memily

Yep, as of about nine months ago. It broke my heart! I was a loyal T2er until then. Even now I find it hard to avoid wandering through their beautiful store but am branching out and trying to find alternatives to their blends where I can. It’s a challenge!

There are a few awesome Sydney tea shops I’ve found in my googling (I’m down in Hobart but sestra is in Sydney). Definitely go visit that adorable-sounding tea man!

It’s in The Strand, which is off Pitt St Mall in the city.
