From Tip Top Tea

2012 produced this great tea features large wrinkled dark leaves with a subtle bronze shimmer and superb sweet roasted aroma. This wonderful Wuyi oolong is repeatedly roast and baked over charcoal to bring out a deep flavour that coats the tongue in a delicious rich lasting flavour that lasts long after swallowing. Flavours of cocoa, malty baked bread and treacle dominate. A superb example of dark fired Wuyi oolong tea, suitable for multiple infusions.

Origin: Wuyi province, China

Strength: 4/5, Astringency: 1/5, Sweetness: 3/5
