Blueberry Wild Child

I first drank this at college when I wanted to try dried fruit teas and enjoyed it enough that I ended up purchasing more later on. I’m not sure what it is about this tea that I really enjoy, but my guess is the mixture of blueberries and the small hint o pomegranate from the arills in the mixture. Overall this tea has been resupplied a few times and is something I really enjoy, which is odd when I think about it in comparison to my tea collection.

This is my favorite Tiesta tea I’ve tried. Super fruity and smooth. I really like the combo of pomegranate and blueberry in this one.

Bedtime tea last night. I used up the last tablespoon or so I had to make a big mug of this. It’s very much a juice tea – fruity, sweet, a little bit tart. I feel like I do a disservice to fruity teas — after the initial cup, their flavors blend into a generic fruity flavor and any individual flavors I originally picked up on are lost.

I’m kind of glad I caved to Tiesta’s 50% off Black Friday sale, because now I have a bunch of fruity tisanes to drink in the evening when I want something caffeine-free. (You should have been here when I opened the bubble envelope and it was like a crazy blast of fruity scents! Even with all the teas sealed in their own bags. Ok, I just stuck my nose in the envelope and it’s still really fruity in there after a week. Amazing.)

Anyway, I liked this! The dry tisane and the scent as it brews are both very blueberry-ish. It brews up a lovely reddish colour from the hibiscus, but the tartness is balanced out with the sweetness of the dried fruits and the richness of the blueberry flavour. It reminds me of cooked blueberries – like the inside of a blueberry pie, but without all the sugar.

Probably should be avoided if you hate hibiscus completely, but if you’re a fan of slightly tart fruity/berry tisanes I recommend giving this one a try.

When my local grocery store started selling this, I couldn’t help but shout.

I picked this tea up.

Nice taste. I love Hibiscus, and berry flavors. The pieces where nice and big, still a little moist. I added a dap of homey, which complimented it well.

Over all, I am going back and getting more of these guys tea.
